This is undoubtedly an extremely funny book.
I'm not a parent and therefore have no idea how true to the way babies behave it is but I'm willing to bet that it's pretty accurate!
Written through the eyes of a newborn baby it describes the daily battles it and it's parents face, while keeping score. With the little sod's tactics of sick, sh**, screams and emotional blackmail against it's parents superior strength and stubbornness. (The trick is to make them think they've actually HURT you). This book keeps you laughing all the way through, well at least once a page.
I guess it would be better suited for first time parents, or just any parent, but I think anyone would still find it extremely funny and definitely worth reading!

a quick easy funny book. my only problem would be that it's a bit short... but then there are two more!

Such a witty outlook on baby's opinion on how parents work.thankfully not a new parent so is a lot more comedic to me than it might be to new parents. Recommended read for a little light hearted pick me up

A great book - I had it bought for me when I had my first child, and I do the same for any of my friends expecting their first. Such an accurate portrayal of life from the Little Sod's perspective you're convinced they've read it before you!

This book should be given out by hospitals or midwives to all new parents who should read it when their first baby is about 3 or 4 months old. Told from the baby's perspective, it is a hilarious illustration of the first, sometimes agonising, year as new parents, and shows that we all share the same feelings, joys and worries - not to mention baby reference books!
If you know someone who is going to have a baby soon, do them a favour and buy this book for them instead of a babygrow!

I first read this book when I worked on the Maternity Ward in Mansfield. I found it very entertaining and informative .I bought it for my niece 25 years ago. My grand daughter had a baby boy in May and was very stressed because she did not get much advice from the health people in Liverpool. We went to see her last week and I was telling her about this book. We looked and found it was in print and also a TV programme had been made based on it. We watched the programme and there was so much she could relate to and realised that she was not as bad a mother as she had thought. She has received the books and is delighted with them. much easier to read and glean information from than the usual clinical books. Should be offered to all new mothers and fathers. I think it is remarkable how the author wrote from the baby's point of view and made things amusing and helpful
