Not great

Lots of pictures but no explanations and most things in here are very basic and if not the 2 or 3 step pictures are not going to help teach it. Disappointing.

A retro diagram-only chunky little book appropriate for someone who is not familiar with common sense American culture or general life skills. I regret not reading the reviews before I purchased.

Not as cool as it sounds

I thought this book sounded really cool but after borrowing it from my local library I found it to be a terrible book. I'm so glad I didn't actually buy it. This book has NO WORDS!! It is all just diagrams, the problem is I can't figure out what the book is supposed to be telling me how to do on a large number of the diagrams. So what good is it? Don't waste your time.

Underwhelms

I don't know...maybe it's simply me. Call it what you will...high expectations. Perfectionist. Overachiever. I'm not sure, but I had such high hopes for this purchase and yet again, I end up in a crumpled heap in the bathroom of a downtown bar, lying in a puddle of my own vomit, being asked to leave before police are called.

I have a problem with, well it's a very male issue and it's embarrassing. Don't look at my words like that. Don't....don't judge me like that. Thank you. Ok, so I can't do "it." Don't even......you know what "it" is. Wait what? You don't? Jeezus.....ok, here it is straight.......I don't know how to pee. My parents never taught me. Dad worked late and my Mom was at a sewing class, so I never learned. So every time I have to go, it goes bad. I pee on my shoes, in the cat box (preferred actually since I get the super absorbent type of cat litter) on my face (my thing moves around sometimes and it's unpredictable) and everywhere else except wherever that stuff is supposed to go.

So it was with high hopes and great anticipation that I bought this book hoping (I know.....two conjugations of "hope" in one sentence) that I could find something....anything in the book to help me.

Nothing. Nada. In fact, as I read the book, I had to go. I was on the part where I was learning how to milk my cat (From that scene in "Meet the Parents") and here it came....I think there were even "whoosh" sound effects before I went all over the floor in the bank and believe me, they are VERY forceful when they think you're urinating on their floor while standing in line.

Sigh, so this book was another disappointment in my life, but as a consolation prize, that cat milk is GREAT in my coffee.

I thought this book was great. It celebrates the art of how-to illustrations which are graphics at their simplist. It's interesting to see how we "technically" are supposed to do things like a cartwheel, apply fingernail polish, or walk!

I still don't know what year France occupied Austria. This book is GARBAGE! I paid 20 dollars to learn what year France occupied Austria and you know what I got? Tips on how to redecorate my stove.

Like a stove needs redecorating anyway...
