We all know that girls can do anything, we teach it to the guides in our care now, but these brave, amazing ladies really showed how it can be done, but always with a cheerful smile and grit determination, I am proud to be member of this fantastic organisation, and follow in the footsteps of these women.
A brilliant read, not just for Guides past and present, but for anyone who loves stories of the British war effort at home, or stories of young girls with what was once called 'pluck', this lot had it in spades.
As the husband and father of a Guide it shows what I would have expected. They are indomitable.
