This book puts you in control of your freezer.
How often do you find something unlabelled, unrecognisable and out of date when you defrost your freezer? Do you ever freeze food in its original packaging, then wonder why it doesn't taste as good as it should when you cook it? Would you freeze those extra fruits your neighbour gave you from her garden rather than wasting them ... if only you knew how?
Freezing is not rocket science - with a few basic techniques and a little common sense you can get your freezer working to make your life easier. 'How to Freeze' puts you in control. It gives you a complete, practicle A to Z guide to everything you need to know about freezing, so you have quick access to exactly the information you want, when you want it. From almonds to zucchini - with everything in between - you'll learn what you can freeze and how to freeze it.
And crucial to the whole system is knowing what you have in the freezer, where to find it and how long you can store it. With Carolyn's simple, practical management system, you can be sure you won't find any more UFO's (unidentified frozen objects) next time you defrost.

I ordered copies for my daughters who frequently phone me to ask about freezing!
My only criticism is about the index.
It is easier to go through the book alphabetically rather than rely on the index. Most items can be found this way.
Arranged alphabetically for quick look-up, this has a well-earned place on my kitchen bookshelf.
