When I buy a book, I expect to get a book, not an infomercial. This consists of two plausible ideas, buried in a ton of self promotion and insulting adds for the writer's online training program, which costs two hundred dollars. You should pay money for this?
Let me be clear about what I find so offensive. The writer has some experience. He knows that margins have compressed, the platform companies have raised rates and aggravation, and a pathetic amount of money will qualify as a "master seller". His reaction is not to broaden the playing field, but to double down, and try to extract the last dime from those who are still selling honest physical goods.
If marketing hype and online training were the answers, we would know that by now. Such is not the case. Best wishes and good luck to you and yours. You will need it in this dreadful economy.

Dale Calvert has written a concise and informative little book about generating income from Ebay other than just traditional selling. He urges experienced Ebay sellers to think of themselves in terms of marketers and how they can provide additional value to their clients. One of his suggestions is to upsell by using package inserts that drive people to purchase additional products. He mentions one site, Clickbank, as a resource for finding products to upsell. His other point is to generate and use customer lists as they are very valuable to anyone trying to create a loyal following. Dale suggests some email list providers and outlines what a good email list should be like. In just a short 25 pages, Dale manages to give the reader a lot of "food for thought". If you want to get good tips from a true entrepreneur, check out Dale Calvert's books!

How to Double Your EBay Profits is an excellent little book for EBay sellers who are looking to make some more money. As you begin to read this book, Dale Calvert's introduction is direct and specific: this book is not for casual EBay sellers but for hard core, in-it-as-a-primary-source-of-income sellers. Knowing that from the get-go, the rest of this book is a practice in understanding. Calvert's tone, though as some points slightly condescending, is simply honest: these systems have worked for me, I want you to make money, try these systems out and you will make money. His desire to help the hard core EBay seller is genuine. Though I'm not an EBay seller as of yet, this little book will definitely come in handy in the future. Word of caution: READ IT CAREFULLY AND APPLY THE PRINCIPLES MENTIONED. Otherwise, this book will be of no use to you. A great read, quick and to the point.

Here is another helpful and motivating 'sales secrets' book from author Dale Calvert. I have read several of his other offerings, and always find them to contain ideas i'd overlooked, or wasn't aware of previously. This is an easy to understand and well organized read to help you launch a more successful eBay campaign. I am in the process of expanding my small business to the internet after a year of local 'word of mouth' and trade-show sales, and this book is just what I needed to start hitting eBay like a veteran. I was particularly fascinated by the chapters covering package inserts as lead generators, and the correct ways to use them. I can't wait to start implementing some of these techniques in my own business.
