The book is nicely designed and bound and the design is a good balance between illustrations and information. I wouldn't say its all you need to know to build a bike as its not a technical manual like a Haynes but it does give you a good idea of what can be done and how things work. There's some nice photos at the back of the book showing some custom bikes and the rest of the book is very well laid out.
I'd say the book would be a good gift purchase for anyone interested in bikes. If I hadn't bought it for myself I would have been very pleased if it was under the Christmas tree.
