As soon as I saw this book, I knew I HAD to read it! Even though I am essentially an 80-year-old in a 24-year-old's body (my idea of a spiffing Saturday night involves blankets, Poirot and knitting), I still never quite manage to feel like I'm a grown up. I own a successful small business and make important decisions about it daily, yet I still live with my parents which often makes me feel like I've failed. This book helped me to see that hardly ANYONE feels like a grown up in their 20's, and that's okay!! You're still finding yourself in this big scary world, so it's okay if you're sitting alone eating pizza and talking to your tortoise while all your friends get married and have babies. You're just all moving at your own pace and you'll get there when you get there. I actually read this book at the same time as Girl Up by Laura Bates, and it has much the same ring to it, just for an older audience. Definitely a must read for everyone in their 20's, especially recent graduates who don't really know where they're going or who they are. Don't worry, you're doing okay!!

I love, love, LOVE this book! So incredibly warm and funny (I was howling out loud on the train) and brutally honest, Daisy is the perfect antidote to all the 'helpful' life advice you've been stressed out by over the years. She actually gets it. I thought there was a perfect balance of personal stories, universal advice and lots of quotes and anecdotes from other people too; while it's super personal it also feels really thorough and all-encompassing. I'd recommend it to anyone feeling a little bit lost in the world, whatever their age. I know I'll dip in to re-read it again and again. Gorgeous.

This is the book you devour in one sitting, then buy for all your young relatives AND the older ones to explain how you've been feeling for the past decade! It's like Daisy has overheard every conversation I've ever had with my mates and every difficult thought I've had - she is so insightful and so funny. The balance between anecdote and help is perfect. Best thing I've read in ages, can't recommend it highly enough.

I've followed @notrollergirl on The Pool website for months. She always manages to see even the weirdest and most wonderful situations with an acerbic wit - and a sense of sane clarity. This book is that - in bucketloads. Like a good glass of red and a warm hug, this is is a "How to" book in the very best sense of the word.

Funny, warm, wise - and vindicating because I'd already been stalking the author in a loving fangirl way, even before I got to page 138, for months.
Ergo I want to be her friend. A book to reread and to add to your "What SHALL I get X for her birthday?" list, now.

Enjoy.

And prepare to cry hot, happy tears.

This the most life affirming wonderful book I have read in a long long time and has given much joy, hope and happiness - even as a MUCH older person I learned a great deal especially about self confidence and self care. Daisy B is a marvellous writer which is not surprising as she is a marvellous person

I devoured this in one sitting. This book is like having a big sister who’s got your back, if that big sister was a combination of Caitlin Moran, Dolly Parton and Beyonce. Buy it for every 20-something and teen you know. I can't recommend it more!

Reading this book is the most reassuringly warm and lovely thing you can do for yourself. Especially how to be jealous! How many of us flick through Facebook until we're so sick of all the perfect other people's photos that we throw our phones to the other side of the room in disgust? Daisy Buchanan has helpful, proper advice on how to deal with those feelings and how to turn them around to something kind and positive for yourself. I'm buying this for all of my friends for their birthdays for the foreseeable future. You just feel better after reading it, and the great thing is that there's no smug answer to all of your problems. It's just that friend you can say anything to and you know they won't judge you. Hooray for Daisy.

So so comforting to know I'm not the only one who went through these kinds of mistakes and learned from them!
A perfect portrayal of learning how to live life as a 'millennial' if you fancy popping us in a box and using that term.
It has left me inspired to seek out the nearest therapist (in a good way) and begin my A to Z of troubles - something I would have never considered before.
A true inspiration and a positive lift to any morning commute :)
