This is a very comprehensive guide and up-to-date for the 2012/13 tax year. It covers a wide range of property investment issues, some of which are letting, development, property trading, property management and tax planning.

As a novice landlord with only one property I really only needed a couple of chapters but am still glad I have this book, it gave me the information I needed and who knows, some of the other chapters may become relevant in the future.

It is well written using easily understandable examples.

Good book with great insight into the minefield that is Property Tax. The author obviously knows his subject and has done a good job in explaining the issues to be considered with this particular tax.

Format: Paperback
A very comprehensive guide covering all aspects from buy to let to property refurbishments. Not all will be relevant to your needs, but you will find what you want covered here.
I think he missed the change by HMRC to remove the renewals allowance option under fully furnished moveable items deductions - it is now just "wear and tear only"
Also, how you can deduct mortgage fees (whether over time of mortgage, the fixed term or in one hit) seems vague, but otherwise very good.
