HASH(0x8c17bc18) out of 5 stars Well Illustrated Overview of the Hanovers, Victoria, Edward 20 Sept. 2001
By Moe811 - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This is a pretty good history of the Hanovers and their two immediate descendants. There are alot of pictures, and fairly short biographies of each of them. The book is very informative and a very quick read. I just wish that these biographers would realize that not all of us speak French, there are never any translations. Latin I can read, but French is beyond me, and I would guess, alot of other people.

HASH(0x8c17be64) out of 5 stars Beware: This is an excerpt from another book! 16 Jan. 2009
By JR - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I bought this book along with another in the series to bridge my British Royal history knowledge gap. I also purchased The Lives of the Kings and Queens of England, Revised and Updated edited by Antonia Fraser and found the text in this book is identical to that volume. I think there are additional photos in this book, but it is not something completely new. If you have The Lives of the Kings and Queens of England, do not bother with this volume.

HASH(0x8c17e0c0) out of 5 stars Needs an editor 7 April 2008
By N. Lambert - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I thought Antonia Fraser was a better editor than this ..gross errors ..confusing George I with George IV, hyphenating words willy-nilly ...I'm sure some of them are typos but isn't that what an editor is for? Great pictures but I'm still looking for a book that names everyone in the group photo taken at Ducky and Ernie's wedding ...

HASH(0x8c17e420) out of 5 stars VERY POOR EDITING! 5 May 2011
By P. W. Dwyer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Don't bother with this. It's a total waste of money and time.
Facts are wrong and useful information scarce.
I consigned it to my local Goodwill store immediately.

HASH(0x8c17e1d4) out of 5 stars Very superficial piece of work 22 May 2011
By Dr. S. R. Hill Jr. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This would be fine for a junior high school history assignment, but don't look for any detail beyond that level. The overall impression is one of superficiality, with not a great deal of attention paid to accuracy.
