Format: Audio CD
This is one of the most under-rated and under exposed albums in rock/punk/pop(?) (in the UK at least), yet it's such a classic. There is not one duff track and the songs are diverse, highly original and addictive. The bass wiggles and pounds, and the drumming is immense, and the overlapping singing is inspired. End of you is just grand, and by the time you reach a Quarter to Three, you will honour this album as a great.

i am a newcomer to rock and this is the best stuff I've heard so far...the tucker/brownstein duo are once again flawless and intriguing lyrics coupled with immense, definitive guitar styles make this the ultimate sleater/kinney. music to get dressed to. need it, love it, want it.

This album exudes class from start to finish, superbly inventive guitar work, solid drumming and more flawless vocals make this album sleater-kinney's finest to date. While purists argue that the punk rock edge has been lost, I for one see such gems as ""burn, don't freeze", "start together" and "a quarter to three" as among the finest songs recorded in the past few years. Inventive, exciting, moving, unmissable.

the coolest girls in rock just keep getting better and better - this 4th album is a masterpiece. incisive social commentary with added girl-power - but Corin Tucker still has a sharp sense of humour.
