The stories in Hot in the Hamptons are about three young women spending the summer together after they’ve graduated from college. Kelsey, Leigh and Storme have been best friends since they shared a dorm room designed for two people their freshman year. The story for each of the women was written by a different author and the time-frame for the stories is all the same. We get to read about the summer from three different points of view. Actually we get six different first-person POVs because each book has chapters alternating between the heroine and Hero. I enjoyed each of the stories and my over-all star rating is for the anthology but I’ve also given my rating for each individual book.

The books in this anthology are novella length so it’s not fair to expect a lot of character development. However we do get to know quite a bit about all of the main characters. If insta-love type stories turn you off, though, you might want to give this group of books a pass. I don’t mind this type of story and ones in this group make perfect light summer reading.

Note: according to information I found on Goodreads these books were originally published separately in 2015.

First up is SUMMER DREAMING by Liz Matis, 152 pages. I give this one 4 stars.

This is the first book I’ve read by Liz Matis and boy was it HOT! The language is explicit and the sex is scorching. Kelsey just wants to have fun this summer; fun with lots of hot sex before she has to get serious and make a decision about what she wants to do next in her life.

Sean is a lifeguard in the Hamptons spending his last summer here before he has to report to the Marines for boot camp. He’s had many summer flings during his years as a lifeguard but Kelsey makes him want more; too bad that not what she’s looking for. The chemistry between Sean and Kelsey is sizzling.

Second in this group is SUMMER TEMPTATION by Wendy S. Marcus, 140 pages. This one was a 5 star read for me.

I’ve read several other books by Ms. Marcus and enjoyed them all but this one might be my favorite. While this story still has lots of sexy time, I found it to be a bit milder than the first and last ones in this group. Leigh has a lot on her mind this summer. She’s been dealing with the poor health of both her grandfather and her father. She has the perfect job lined up after summer is over – there’s just one problem, she might be pregnant. (Note this really isn’t a spoiler because the first line of the story mentions this.)

Nick is an out-of-work, Wall Street analyst. He lost his job with no warning, no thank you and no severance. He’s been providing support, financial and emotional, for his grandfather after his parents moved south and left him to deal with things. Nick and Leigh’s first meeting is less than ideal. Amazingly they are able to get past that and enjoy spending time together. Their relationship develops more slowly than Kelsey and Sean’s but the chemistry is still hot between them. Leigh tells Nick about her possible pregnancy and he doesn’t run away. They agree to have a “Summer of Fun” together.

Despite his less than perfect entrance into the story, Nick is the perfect man. He is kind and considerate and I loved him and Leigh together. A theme that connects the first and second books is Kelsey and Leigh’s concern for their friend Storme.

The final book is about Storme. SUMMER SINS, 150 pages, is written by Jennifer Probst and I give it 4 stars. It’s the first book I’ve read by Ms. Probst.

Storme’s family owns the house in the Hamptons where the three BFFs have been staying all summer; they also own Drink It In Style Vineyards. Storme is engaged to her best friend, Phillip, but there isn’t any passion between them – something she’s never admitted to her best friends. This summer with her BFFs is her last one before she and Phillip get married; a marriage that will merge her family’s business with his. Phillip is spending the summer in California on business and while Storme misses him, she is having doubts about their marriage. After talking to Phillip about her feelings they agree to take a break during the summer to try and figure things out but they don’t tell their parents.

Holden is spending the summer in the Hamptons, staying with his friend Brian. He’s landed a great job on Wall Street and has the summer to relax before he starts work. When he and Storme meet she believes that he is just a beach bum looking for a good time; even so she is drawn to him.

There’s a lot going on in this book and the chemistry between Holden and Storme is electric. He’s a dirty talking, badass guy with a motorcycle and Storme can’t seem to resist him. When Holden finds out she’s engaged he’s stunned. He never noticed a ring and he doesn’t mess with women who are already involved but he can’t seem to stay away from Storme.

This story is really HOT and I liked it a lot. I had sympathy for Storme, who felt forced to give up her dreams to help Phillip. There’s a bit of a surprise twist at the end that I didn’t really see coming which was great.

This collection is perfect for light summer reading. If you want something hot and easy to read at the beach or by the pool, I highly recommend this anthology.

The Hot in the Hamptons Boxset is three previously released novellas by three different authorstelling the stories of three best friends as they spend the summer in Hampton celebrating their graduation from college before they go their separate ways. Each written by a different author they tell the story of their chosen heroine and the hero whilst entwined in with the main concept and on the same time frame
The basis of the concept revolves around Storme who is about get married at the end of the summer and invited Kelsey and Leigh down for to her family house to spend time together before they go their separate ways. However this summer the Hamptons are about to heat up as each author gives a heroine has a summer romance they won’t forget in a hurry.
Each of the books is told duel in the heroine and hero’s POV of so it easy to get a feel for the characters. First up is Summer Dreaming which is Liz Matis contribution to this collection and tells the story of Kelsey.
Kelsey is at a crossroads her friends know what they are doing come end of summer. Kelsey doesn’t know but for now her main worry is to have a good sex filled summer before she has become an adult with responsibilities.

Enter Sean, a lifeguard she happens to meet who spends his summers lifeguarding protecting the rich and the famous and spending the rest of the year , travelling around the world. This Summer is different though, it is last before he joins the Marines and he looking for one last summer fling.
However Summer Dreaming turns into more then just a fling when hearts become involved. Will they be just a fling or will fate have other ideas
The Second book is Summer Temptation by Wendy S. Marcus and probably the sweetest one of out the trio. Leigh has have her life after college all set out. A PR consultant at one of the biggest names at New York and be close to her family. Her father and grandfather aren’t doing to well and they are weigh heavily on her mind. Life would be perfect but there is the one thing that is overwhelming her she might be pregnant and she scared to death because of the repercussions
Wanting to forget, she decides to join an old man who wife recently die who is out celebrating his 50th wedding anniversary hoping to provide some support and comfort instead turn into ugly incident when his grandson turns up who may be the best thing that happened to her recently.
Nick is an out work Wall Street analyst who lost his job without a moment notice. With nothing better to keep him in New York, he decided to check in his grandfather who is his closest family around and he has been helping the old man. So when he seems him in the restaurant with the beautiful Leigh. His quick judgement leads to Leigh thinking he as an ass and he is determined to make up to this intriguing woman
Agreeing to have some fun, there seems to be theme here knowing that they both have plans and she has no time for a guy in life with the pregnancy hanging over her head. They decided to have a summer of fun but Nick soon decides he wants more and is determined to show to Leigh that he can be the one and not just a temptation .

The third book is about Storme who is the basis for the concept of these three novels. This written by Jennifer Probst who I’m very familiar with and I was keen by the time it got to this story to find out what was going in Stome ‘s head . We had hints things weren’t all right
Storme had her life planned out for her as long as she can remember. She was to marry her best friend Philip bring their two families vineyards together. Only one problem. He is defintely in the friends only catogeries, there is no passion and she rather after the summer be at the FIT then tied to a ball and chain.
With Philip safely in California for the summer on business, Storme for the first time is really trying to figure our their doubts and in the meanwhile she meets Holden who makes her really question things as he gives her everything she that she has been missing with Philip. Making her want to through all plans with Philip out side of the window
As Storme isn’t the only one thinking this way as Philip gives his blessing to take a break and to explore their doubts. Okay there is something fish going on. What guy would allow his finance to do this !
Holden has life planned. out Spend the summer in the Hamptons with Brian and then working on Wall Street once summer ends. He doesn’t the rich and the snobs However his current appearance of beach bum is the one that gets Storme talking. As she thinks he looking for just a good time and he won’t be anything more then a fling
Despite his experience, there is something about Holden and soon as the summer pass and the wedding starts to get closer Storme is torn which choice will she make ?

I love this anthology, it fun sexy summer reading and loved that they were all summer flings that had distinct stories and characters that you could love. Thee was the kind Nick, to the bad boy looking Holden with his motorcycle. There something for everyone in this collection and do hope these three authors do team up again to write another connected series of novellas

HASH(0x8ed7e2b0) out of 5 stars SIZZLING HOT! 30 Mar. 2016

HOT IN THE HAMPTONS BOXSET is three terrific books by three amazing authors. Liz Matis, Wendy S. Marcus, and Jennifer Probst teamed up together to write about three college roommates who, in spite of their different personalities, became the best of friends. They spend their summer after graduation together in the Hamptons. Each book is written by a different author and features one of the girls' story about their summer vacation. I really enjoyed all three books!

In the first book, SUMMER DREAMING by Liz Matis, Storme is getting married and she invites her two best friends, and co-maids of honors, to join her for their last carefree summer at her family's summer home in the Hamptons. Storme, Kelsey and Leigh are all looking forward to a fun time together before they go their separate ways. SUMMER DREAMING features their summer from Kelsey's point of view. Kelsey plans to have a lot of fun, and sex, and really enjoy being carefree with no strings attached. That is, until she meets the "Hampton Hottie", Sean. Sean is a super hot lifeguard who is only looking for a casual summer fling as well, because at the end of the summer he will be heading off to Marine boot camp. The chemistry between them is off the charts and they have to decide if a summer fling is going to be enough.

SUMMER TEMPTATION by Wendy S. Marcus spotlights Leigh's story. Leigh has a secret. A big secret. Quiet and more reserved than the other two, Leigh wants to spend more time in the sun relaxing and trying to avoid the party life. Leigh meets Nick under an extremely difficult situation, but she has made an impact on him and he sets out to find her and apologize. After they spend more time together, they discover that first impressions aren't always accurate. He found out that she is a loving, smart, beautiful girl that he wants to spend more time with. She discovers that he is very kind, funny and extremely considerate. Leigh is afraid that if he knows her secret he will run away. Will they be able to overcome her secret? Will they decide that they have something worth fighting for?

SUMMER SINS by Jennifer Probst tells the story we have been waiting for. Storme's story was first introduced in SUMMER DREAMING. All three books talked about her wedding and included wedding activities. Storme's family owns a very successful vineyard and also the house that Storme and her best friends are staying in for the summer. She is engaged to Philip, but has second thoughts about marrying him. He has always been her best friend, but their is no romantic connection between them. When she accidentally meets Holden, a handsome biker, she is torn between what she thought she wanted and the very hot chemistry that she has found with Holden. Will she be able to live a life without passion? Will she be able to walk away from Holden? The ending to this book will really surprise you!

Three great books that you will want to read. The characters are unforgettable!

3 stories about 3 friends on a last hoorah before starting their "adult" post college lives. From 3 different authors. I was skeptical, but the authors did a wonderful job of tying the stories together. Accurately. I loved each story. They were fun, hot, and sexy, with some humor thrown in. A great summer read! I'll definitely be looking for other books from these authors!
