Product Description

Trevor Blackburn (Jeffrey Combs) wakes from a coma with no memory of his past and in a strange sanitarium for the criminally insane; apparently he was put there because he murdered his fiancee. When the patients of the sanitarium begin to be murdered one-by-one, he breaks into a secret attic with another patient (Seth Green)...

Film:
Well, this film has a very good cast including Jeffrey Combs ( Re-Animator 1-3) and other well-known actors.
The acting is in fact were well executed too.
In fact the story actually is very interesting and the movie in general is worth watching.
The story is about a man who gets caught in an intrigue against him because of a certain book.
Well, some might expect it could be the "Necronomicon" (because Jeffrey Combs, who starred in various Lovecraft movies before is in it) but best thing is that you find it out yourself because this film is one not to be missed!
I can definitely recommend this movie to anyone who likes suspense and entertainment on a higher level. B+
DVD:
The image is full frame and it has a good quality.
One strange thing is that there is no menue to select scenes.
You can only start the movie and jump forward until you found the scene yourself.
All in all : Good movie-acceptable DVD.

This movie would really like to be "Mulholland Drive". It explores the psychology of a central character, who may or may not be a murderer, and may or may not be crazy. He is operated on by the mad scientist Dr Eck, who has a set of priorites all his own, and is sent to recuperate in the strange "House of Love", which may or may not be real, and may or may not be a manifestation of our hero's psychology. Confused? You will be...
I'm in two minds about this film. The plot is tortuous and weird, and at the end I wasn't sure what was going on, nor whether it meant anything much. But at least things were interesting, and kept you on your toes wondering what was going on. At times it was suspenseful, at times pure slasher. In fact, it was probably more successful at doing this than at being profoud.
Seth Green turns in a good performance as one of our hero's fellow inmates in the house of love. And if the plot weirds you out, you can always fall back on the eye candy. In fact, eye candy is probably what made me rate this film a "3" rather than a "2": it's not as good as it wants to be, and is only moderately entertaining, but there are worse ways to spend a rainy evening...

I saw this film on the dubious 'Horror' channel on sky, home to B movies and frankly quite awful films of the horror genre. This film isn't awful though, it's just a tad bizarre. Well it's more than a tad really. It is one of those films where you are left saying 'Huh??' at the end of every scene, and all the way through I couldn't quite work out what was real and what was not! It really messes with your head and I guess that's what the director wants, but I think in this case it's just alllll gone a bit too far. Don't watch this if you don't want a headache.
Good things about this film is Seth Green's appearence, he makes a very good crazy person and is quite intruiging to watch!
Horror In The Attic is far too weird for my liking and is a bit of a mish mash low budget affair, however I did find it interesting in a *wierd* messed up way, so if you like stuff that messes with the ol' head then go for it. If you prefer straightforward boy-meets-girl films though then you will definitly not be feeling this crazy movie!
