Ace screen protector. Love the peeling mechanism to prevent fingerprints/dust etc getting on it and to help line it up easily with no bubbles. You peel off a wee square (pull tab no.1) from the back surface that goes onto the screen, then press that down and line it up on the screen. Holding your finger on that you then peel off the whole of the other backing side (pull tab no.2) so it stays lined up good as it goes down with no bubbles :) You then peel off the remaining backing (pull tab no3) from the side with the wee square on it, and voila, the whole thing is lined up good and securely stuck bubble-free! If there are any bubbles at this point you would use the included cardboard swiper to remove them before you carefully peel off the last tab (no. 4) which removes the protective film from the top surface of your screen protector.

One bit of advice I have when fitting is to not line it up too flush to the 1st edge of the screen as it's a tiny bit smaller than the screen area. I put mine on as soon as I unpacked my gamepad and hadn't switched it on yet, so I didn't realise this would leave an uneven sized gap along the opposite edge from the one I lined it up against. So I have virtually no gap along the top and about 1-2mm gap along the bottom edge of mine and didnt want to lift it off only to make a mess of trying to refit it. If you get it centred good at the first step (tab1) you'll have about a 0.5mm gap right around the screen which I think will line up perfectly with the lit pixel area of the gamepad screen (although it does mean some dust and muck will gather in there no doubt).

This Hori Precision screen filter was one of the easiest screen protector installations I've ever done. I wiped the gamepad's screen (straight out of the box) and followed Hori's intuitive installation system. The screen protector, while it does leave a little under a millimetre of screen space around it, is almost invisible and, what's most important, developed zero bubbles. The only critique I have is that it seems impossible to take the screen protector off. Even though I wiped the screen prior to installation, a speck of dust got caught right under the lower right corner of the screen protector. Hori's instructions (and the Internet) state that I should use a piece of clear (Scotch) tape. Alas, no matter how many times I tried to lift the screen protector with the tape, it didn't move anywhere. I tried several tapes (an electrical tape, a double-sided Scotch tape etc.) but nothing worked. Some people say that you should first pull the tape towards you and only then, while the screen protector is slightly lifting, pull up. This didn't work either. I did notice that a lot of people are having problems lifting their Hori screen protectors. Some people have used fakes but I ordered this one straight from Amazon.

Overall, the screen protector is of high-quality and the installation process is amazingly easy. However, I strongly recommend you take every precaution to avoid dust getting trapped under the screen. Otherwise (or if you need to change the screen protector) you might have a problem of not getting the Hori off.

Wow, what a disappointment! I read so many excellent reviews on here that I really thought this protector would be easy to fit, bubble free and fit like a glove...

It wont.

It is easy to fit but came with many bubbles. Yes you can force the bubbles out and thats fine - my main gripe was with the protector itself. If you line up the whole item (including its pull off parts) you would think the actual protector to be applied would be bang center of the screen right? Wrong. It will be top-left, with a larger gap running along the bottom and right-hand corner.

It is also a real pain in the a$$ to remove and leaves glue residue on the Wii U screen.

There's not much to expect from a screen protector, but when it's much more expensive than others currently on the market, you can't help but have high expectations.

This officially licensed product does exactly what you'd expect, with the added bonus of being a piece of cake to apply.

Crystal clear, you'd only really notice it was there if you went out of your way to look for it.

Worth every penny I spent on it.

I've used one other screen protector before for my Wii U gamepad and this one is much better to apply.
It comes with tabs you just pull off, making it easy.
I only have two problems when applying these and that is lining it up and dust/hair as I have animals and it's not always completely free from it. When you put this on, make sure there is absolutly no hair or dust around the area that you are doing it.

A nice, simple product which does what it claims. Easy enough to apply, fits the screen well with little to no bubbles if applied correctly- just line it up and let it fall onto the screen. My Wii U gamepad screen is clean, scratchless and well protected. I also like how it feels under the stylus, not thick or sticky, but smooth and slightly soft. The screen fidelity seems to be completely unaffected by the protector. Overall a high quality product that is great insurance for your beloved gamepad screen :)
