This book deals with a very sensitive subject, and though at times there were some 'difficult to deal with' incidents they were what made the story complete. It's not necessarily a totally believable story - and some of the minor characters' engagement with Hope seemed at time a touch contrived - but then this is fiction so suspending disbelief is essential to full enjoyment. If you can do that, can handle a sensitive subject and you enjoy thrillers then I recommend you read Hope's Vengeance.
Hope seeks counselling sessions initially, it becomes apparent, following three months imprisonment after being duped by a close friend and her boyfriend - she hopes she can forgive and move on with her life. There then follows one shock revelation after another as the chapters unfold in counselling sessions and events which happen in between these sessions.
The plot has many facets, which I feel only a talented writer could pull together, and as the counselling sessions progress even Hope is faced with surprises. I found it an absolute roller coaster ride, one I found really difficult to get off, reading late into the night. This book is an absolute page turner, I just couldn't put it down. It kept me hooked from start to finish, not a short book, but one I finished easily within a couple of days. Highly recommend!
