Wow, the messages about this being a must read were not wrong.
Loved this book, gasps, shock, laugh out loud comments, and the tears took me to a point where I so needed to know what happened next, but desperately didn't want to finish it!!! No spoilers - just sit back, put aside some me time, and enjoy, you'll get so list in the story, you'll want an Austin in your life, and Gillian as your new bestie.

What a story . Austin and Jillian, This is so well written you love the two main characters, you laugh and cry with them. The heartbreak and everything that makes this brilliant. I did not want this to end, but could not put it down. This story is about falling in love, heartbreak, deception, lies. WONDERFUL GREAT READ IT YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

SO to begin with, the premise of the book didn't really appeal to me and I naively assumed it would be a really corny. I though, oh no its going to be a book I'm not really that interested in! I WAS WRONG!!! Rachael Duncan has written a loving story that has ups and downs but so genuine love that it really was hard to put down and I finished it in one sitting. Rachael......'You had me at hello!' LOL!

Having read Tackled Love, I really wanted to read more by Rachael and I am so glad her recent book continued her great writing style. This is a sweet romance story between Austin and Jillian, two people 'chosen' by a team to get married and spend 8 weeks together as a couple to see if they were correctly matched and could have a happily ever after. Followed by cameras, the characters throughout the story express their own anxieties and frustrations with the awkward situation but are slowly but surely falling in love despite the intrusions. Both Austin and Jillian have terrible childhood events happen that leaves them both dealing with life in two very different ways. Austin is very much a a live for the moment kind of character while Jillian has never felt loved and cared for and fears that she will always be let down. Austin is such a sweet man and his self awareness of himself makes this man such a 'book boyfriend' that you can't help but fall in love with him. Jillian is a self sufficient and heartfelt character that is just crying out for the love of a family she never had, to be cherished and cared for by those in her life that she never experienced as a child.

This book is adorable. The experts picked them as a match and Jillian and Austin get married blindly on a TV show. As soon as Jillian starts walking down the isle, she knows she can't stay married to the handsome man waiting for her. They're required to try for 8 week. During that time, their get to know each other stage is very sweet. They're so playful and Austin is the sweetest guy. Jillian is hesitant to give in to the feelings she starts having for him because she knows something that he doesn't. Even with her fighting it the whole way, I couldn't help but fall for his character too. Janey is Jillian's best friend and she knows her deepest secret. She's not the greatest best friend a girl could have, but Jillian loves her. She doesn't have many people to depend on in life and grows to enjoy having Austin and the people he brings into her life.

The book was fun to read. I enjoyed the sweet romance in the story. Their romance isn't perfect and there are definitely some ups and downs along the way, but it wouldn't make for a great story without them.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was another one of those books where I wasn't sure what to expect. It could have been very clichéd. Given the premise, it could have had characters who I just didn't make a connection with. I guess you could say that of most books, but it was a particular concern for me with this one. Nevertheless, I was intrigued. So I took a chance on an unknown to me author.

And it paid off! Instead of a romance by numbers, I was treated to a touching story of love found in the unlikeliest of arenas. Skillfully written, the main characters are well developed and have a tentative, yet developing connection which jumps off the page and will have you rooting for them to succeed, despite the obstacles facing them.
