A long-lost and forgotten Victorian manuscript, written by entrepreneur and confidence trickster Chetwin De Clapham, has been revived to provide Selling advice to the modern world. Found in an old trunk on a skip in Diss, this work has been lovingly edited by Martin Gurdon in the hope that it might one day change the life of a reader, in a way that it failed to do for its author. De Clapham provided steely-eyed business advice that is very relevant to today's audience and his baser instincts are sure to appeal in the modern cut-throat world. Martin Gurdon is the bestselling author of Hen and the Art of Chicken Maintenance (New Holland), and is a motoring journalist first and foremost, writing for the Telegraph and Evening Standard as well as specialist magazines. Among television and radio appearances, he has ruminated about chicken keeping on Radio 4's Home Truths. Originally from London, he now lives in Kent.
