This is the best Road movie by far and the only one in color.Bing and Bob as usual, down on their luck in Austrailia only to end up in Bali where Bings character gets Bobs into deep water, literally. As a diver Bob is unaware of the sea creature as he's hired out as a deep sea diver to retrieve sunken treasure. The two get in the usual trouble running from natives and through the jungles of Bali.A few good songs along the way and some nods and winks at other films stars of the time,Crosbys brother has a surprise"shot" in the movie, there's a loud howl from Errol Flynn and a good dream sequence from Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis.Dorothy Lamour as usual is along for the adventure and a surprise ending with Jane Russel.Magic Flutes,Gorrillas,Purple sheep,a rumbling volcano and lots of references to the two stars ages, make this a gem and the best of them all.

Great collection and really good prints. It seems the clearest Bob Hope prints are from the US but you need an all region DVD player to be able to play them because of the daft region protection system.

This is a great partnership, Crosby & Hope rank amongst the most popular comedy duo's of all time. The 'Road' films were the biggest attraction in cinema during the late 30's; 40's and 50's, in the comedy partnership style. Why this particular offering is billed as a "colourised version" is beyond me, as this film was made in glorious colour.

There is no need to explain the plot line as the laughs come thick and fast. There is one plus in this movie, Bob Crosby, who had an extremely funny cameo appearance.

Why do Amazon and the reviewer above claim this set to consist of only three DVDs when, in fact, it is five containing five films - get your act together please. Reviews in the US rate the quality of this set very highly - warning - it is region one only.

the film is great but the cover looks like a cheap photocopy; colour is not quite right on the print. Still its a great film, well worth a watch.

Who couldn't love Bob Hope? This review will reveal itself as being more of a tribute rather than an actual review, because Bob Hope deserves the tribute. He was without a doubt naturally funny, and brilliant to match in every film he made, especially in the string of 'The Road To...' films. Of course he was type casted, as all great actors tended to be in that era, yet he made every film seem different and ensured the formula was fresh and new to watch. Even now when I watch him I find it hillarious, and the films weren't even intended for me, as I am only 18. Of course I am biased, and his death has caused me to write this, but no matter what film you watch, he is spectacular and could brighten anybody's day. His films are timeless, and although there will a surge of tribute DVD's, remember him as he was... his films will carry on the greatness of this fine actor.
