About the Author
Christabel Zamor has been teaching sold-out hooping classes since 2001 and performing hoop dance internationally for clients such as Cirque du Soleil and Universal Pictures. She trains and licenses HoopGirl Workout to instructors in gyms across the country.

This book breaks that mould. Beautifully illustrated, the descriptions and explanations of how to do moves and tricks are perfect. Take the book outside with you, pick a move and read it. Then do it! Easy.
It also has lots of case studies and little stories in it to help motivate you to start and keep going.
And hooping is such fun!
Be aware though, that I was an experienced hooper before I read the book.
I do recommend this book for beginners and also its an interesting read with the articles about how people got into hooping and how its changed them.
I bought it because I think my lower back and pelvis have been stuck in some really bad posture habits, and lack flexibility. I'm trying to learn bellydance, and it struck me hooping would help loosen me up. It certainly does help and I'm sure I'm getting much more out of it than just that. I'm doing hooping now for it's own sake, not just as an accompaniment to bellydance. It has so many benefits throughout the whole body.
I'm by no means good at it yet,but I'm enjoying it enough that I keep going back to it. I see it as a fun thing to pick up, not an enemy to be conquered!
