This is book 1 in the Sterling Shore Series.

This is the story of Kade and Raya. Raya escaped her small town by getting a scholarship to college leaving behind all the gossips who talked about her behind her back because of her father. Kade is The preppy rich boy who lives next door to Raya and does nothing but socialize and throw wild parties, making Raya's life a misery. One day Raya is trying to figure out how to stay in Sterling Shore when she's about to lose her house and Kade as usual is having a wild party. Some of the party goers are drunk and manage to demolish her house. After a court ruling Raya has no option but to take up Kade's fathers offer for her to stay in Kade's house with him. The story goes from here seeing their relationship at the lowest point bordering on hatred to falling hard for each other. The only problem is Raya has a family criminal past and Kade is a socialite badboy destined for great things. Will it work?? Can it work?? The story goes from here.

I loved these two characters! I loved how Raya is so sweet and innocent but she has a pretty badass side that she tries to his from everyone. Kade is also pretty similar in that he hides behind the persona he thinks he needs to portray in order to be successful. There are some major miscommunication between these two and when they finally get together i actually shouted out hooray!!! but... of course true love never runs smoothly but the HEA is definitely worth the wait!

I can't wait to read the rest of the series!! Kades Game is next which is this story but from Kades point of view. I would highly recommend this book to anyone!!! I loved it great start to a new series!

Hooked On The Game......I was 'Hooked' on this book ;-)
The story was brill, trailer park girl falls for rich boy! Rich boy falls for poor girl! I liked how they got thrown together by Kade's dad aswell. And it wasnt insta-love! There was a build up which I liked.
Loved the characters, Raya was witty and had me laughing at some things she came out with. I actually liked her conman Dad too! Kade was omg soooo yummy, ❤ he couldnt do no wrong in my eyes.
I struggled to put this book down other than to do the obvious....eat, sleep, you get the rest lol. The story flowed from one sentence to the next, there wasnt a dull moment. Brilliant uncomplicated easy read (although I didnt see the con coming ;-) ) that I really enjoyed :-)

Oh wow! Great book! Loved it!

Raya is a hardworking scholarship student with a shady past. She lives next door to Kade, who's a rich, entitled jerk.

Kade is monied, handsome and popular and loves to party. The two never speak.

However, a serious incident during one of his parties results in Raya having to move in with Kade, and she finds out that Kade is nothing like his public persona.

What begins as a hate-hate relationship evolves into something more. Kade and Raya are fantastic together! I love their chemistry and how Kade slowly reveals his true colours and gets past Raya's protective walls.

This was a really great read - I could barely put it down! Just picked up the Sterling Store boxset to read more from this author.

I love the name of this as I was hooked on the boom now I'm hooked on this series! At the start of this you expect Kade to be the bad boy that ends up really changing to be with Raya. that is not the case though and right from the start when you start getting to know him you can see he is really cares and has his head screwed on for the future. Normally you read about the guys who live in the now and don't plan ahead but everything Kade does is for his future. Kade is super rich whereas Raya isn't so throughout this she believes she isn't good enough for him and will taint his name if she stays around. she does give the relationship a try though and all is good for a while until an ex of Kades comes to spill the beans about Raya's past. Kade then says some things and they break up but the reason she stays away is because she doesn't believe she will ever be enough for him because of her past. I love that at the end it is her past that helps Kade out. Even though they weren't speaking she went to see him when something happens to one of his family members and that's when she realises that him and his family are on the way to losing everything that matters to Kade. This is when her past comes in to help out without Kade even knowing what she does. I really did enjoy this book! and is has some great supporting characters that I can't wait to read about.

Hooked on the Game was my first book by C.M. Owens and this definitely makes my all time favourites list. I just didn’t want to stop reading, I was gripped from start to finish. It’s so rare to find a genuinely great book with all the books out there but do not hesitate to give this book a read - you won’t regret it!

Hooked on the Game’s story flow had a realistic attitude of not instantly ‘falling in love’ with each other, although you can instantly see the chemistry between Raya and Kade, instead focusing on the warring emotions clearly demonstrated in Raya who had to come to terms with things over time.

The descriptions of everything were very vivid and enhanced the story further whilst the HEA gave this story a well rounded finish and is a true standalone romance story! I guarantee you will read this story more than once; I have! Five stars.
