This detector was purchased to replace a previous model of the same style which had reached the end of its life. The best thing about this detector, and the reason for purchasing this type again, is that you can comfortably sit it on a shelf or a small ledge and don't need to wall or ceiling mount it. It's small and neat enough not to be intrusive anywhere. No fancy features or anything fussy about it, but it was not purchased for that, just needs to be functional. As long as this model type is available I'd be more than happy to buy further replacements in the future.

This is the second one that I have purchased. The previous one went off one evening while I was falling asleep, I had to call out the gas board who said it was because of my gas fire which was then condemmed. Thank God I had it.

Had one of these in the past and it proved to be very reliable for 6 or 7 years unlike the Kidde detector I have just binned which developed the habit of going off randomly for no reason, a common fault with Kidde it appears. The supplier has also been very quick and efficient in getting the product to me.

This is a good looking item, easy to mount on the wall. Has an excellent battery life. Automatically warns you when the unit needs replacing.
This is the second unit we have purchased, the first lasting approx 4yrs 10months - much better than other items on the market.

Had one of these for nearly five years, only gone off once, senced car exhaust fumes through kitchen door,No! you cannot fit new battery, but they are not too expensive,Honeywell are a big name in electronics,a trusted company.
Yes British Gas provide one free if they install your boiler, but they quoted us £3500,to fit a new boiler, the company who manufacture the boiler recommended a local plumer, who fitted the same boiler for £1000.but no free carbon dioxide detecter.

The product was as described, and exactly what we required. The company who manufacture the carbon monoxide detector is reputable and trustworthy.

Though I hope it works,I hope the product never needs to be tested!
