I really enjoyed the story of Matty & Joe. A really good introduction to the Bastards MC. Lots of great characters and looking forward to reading more about them in the next book. It's a great read and a . Nice change that some of the characters are older than most MC reads. There's only a clue of things I hope are improved on in the next book, and this is only my opinion, I found the beginning a little confusing when it jumped to years later without any explanation or notification. Also Joe was known by too many names which again caused confusion and also Will/Billy, wasn't sure if they were the same person.

I loved this book better than the first one 'Always Been Mine' even though that was also a good read. This one had more depth and more angst, which I love, and more twists and turns. I loved Matt and how much he is in to Jo and how jealous he gets about her and the story kept up a good pace throughout, never knowing what is going to happen next. The only criticism I have is about some of the dialogue and the way the author has Rocker talking, for example he says 'Leave her be, Brothah'!! I don't see the point of this and it was very annoying reading it when he was speaking as at times you couldn't understand what he was saying. Another sentence has Rocker saying 'Don't you evah get sicka cleanin' up his messes'. What is that about? It isn't necessary and is very annoying. There is going to be a third book in the series about Rocker so I hope to god the whole book is not going to be him talking with these ridiculous words which are hard to understand. I hope the author has him talking normally. But the only downside is that we have to wait until Winter 2015 - far too long for me to wait.

This book follows on from Always Been Mine, which you really have to read to get into the mind-set of Jo and Matt’s characters.

All the questions I had at the end of book one, were answered in this book.

I really felt both Matt and Jo grew in this book. Obviously, Jo has left her husband and is in a relationship with Matt. She knows the real Matt, the Matt he has tried to keep hidden from most people because people were always out for what they could get from him. Not Jo. She loved him for him, and he for her. I really thought they worked hard to make things work.

Obviously an easy ride wouldn’t make a good story, so there were the spanners thrown into the mix.

I could see the angst Jo had as she tried to fit into the MC lifestyle. She showed great strength of character to adapt to something completely alien to her. She was also very brave to put her life on the line.

I felt this book really showcased Matt’s feelings for Jo.

I’m not a big fan of MC books but I have to say that each and every member of the club had their own personality and had their own personal reasons for being in the club. It was good to read about how a bunch of diverse people could all work together for the same goal.

This is a good series to get into if you like your hot alpha males, funny banter and pretty strong women.
