5.0 out of 5 stars A Book That Tells It Like it Is! 21 Jun. 2014
By Lloyd Peacock - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This is a small book, but filled with nuggets of truth. Perhaps it is because folks are so apathetic that we hadn't noticed the Church was dying. Instead of following the call of Jesus, to be servants, the Church has become self-serving, judgmental, and a fashion show for the soiled saints. God is raising a remnant that is creating a change in the Church, and as Holy Spirit moves, this Valley of Dry Bones, called Church, will once again come "Alive." Thank you Pastor Parks-Weekly for writing the truth about the Church, for only the truth will set us free.

5.0 out of 5 stars A devastating commentary on the "traditional church" and a call to repentance 4 Sept. 2014
By Chris LaRosa - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Like with Homosexianity, I found Pastor Weekly's most recent offering deeply thought out and extremely powerful. Coming from someone who until recently was a hypocritical gay-bashing Pharisee, I found this almost painful to read. Weekly beautifully lays out the argument how the Church, as a whole, has sinned grieviously against the gay community and utterly marginalized gay brothers and sisters who truly love the Lord. The book graciously devastated those who continue in this awful unbiblical posture. Sadly, I have to wonder how many jaded "conservatives" would actually respond repentantly to this book because it's pretty clear in 2014 most of "those" kinds of Christians wouldn't budge to repentance even if the Holy Spirit shouted it in their ears - the power of pride and arrogance is astounding. As always, RD Weekly saturates his pleas with grace showing his depth of Christian maturity and equity. As expected, I'm sure this book will prove to be the ire of countless homophobes who troll Amazon and other websites for this kind of stuff, but I will pray God leads this book to those who are open to hear it.
