HASH(0x8c17a150) out of 5 stars Great Information 18 July 2012
By Frank W Cannon - Published on Amazon.com

I am currently a college instructor, but I have taught many years in the public schools. I am certified to teach elementary education, science, early childhood, ESL, and English. I have three advanced degrees, and I must say that this book has been a tremendous help to me.

I lost my zeal for public education when it became test oriented and quantity over quality; as a result, I am homeschooling my middle school granddaughter and I needed some information on preparing her for college.

I have served on state curriculum writing committees, etc., so I know the lingo and how to circumnavigate the system; however, I needed a concrete example of a good transcript for home schoolers. This book has it. While I am extremely familiar with transcripts, the information I gained from this book was invaluable. While not all of the information is valid for me, most was, and this book will be a resource for years to come during our home school adventure.

HASH(0x8c705624) out of 5 stars Critical information for Home Schoolers with an eye on College. 29 April 2012

The author is not only an exceptional and well-educated teacher, who holds you riveted throughout a subject that could be as dry as dust, she makes the entire concept of setting up a home school transcript simple and easy to understand.

Incredibly intelligent, and highly organized, she adds just enough of her and her daughter's personal story so that you fly through the book, garnering the mind set and all the step-by-step instruction you will ever need.

If you are home schooling your child or children, and they are still in grammar school, you need this book NOW to get you started in the right direction. If you child is in middle school, OMG, you haven't begun this process yet? Get this book now. And if your kids have already begun high school, you had really better scramble.

Here's a woman whose records were so scrupulously prepared, that even though her child received average SAT and ACT scores, she was not only accepted into all seven schools she applied to, but was offered scholarships to six (she applied too late to be considered for a scholarship to the seventh).

Home schooling? Looking forward to college or university? Get Home School Transcripts: An Easy to Understand, Step by Step Guide to High School Transcripts NOW! It will make your life a breeze.

HASH(0x8c704cb4) out of 5 stars A great guide for home schooling through high school 8 Nov. 2012
By Karen S. Roberts - Published on Amazon.com

I wish that I had this book when I was homeschooling my two daughters through high school. It's more than a book about transcripts. The author weaves in her own story of homeschooling her daughter. She gives important tips about planning from the early days of middle school, or even before that, so that you are on track with the credits your child will need to get into college. This is a great resource!

HASH(0x8c6a53fc) out of 5 stars For box checkers 17 Aug. 2013

If you want to make sure your transcript has everything, this is the book to look at. For example, if your student needs to find more leadership or volunteer or whatever subject to make a better application, this will tell you some ways to get that and how to present that accomplishment to colleges. However, it can be a lot of stress to try to make sure our homeschooled teens show some of everything -- if you do not read books like this with a grain of salt, it will increase your stress over college admissions. Not every single student needs every single thing.
