Some of them relate to terms that were in common use but are now rare so this will aid in interpretation of old plans and magazine articles. Amateur engineers have long needed a book like this

I tried this book on a whim, as an amazon prime member I can read this book, or more correctly glance thru it, because that is what you are going to do.
What I liked about it, many of the terms, tools, techniques are there, even some pictures for a few of the items listed. It was helpful, but than again, it could have been so much more. I see in some kindle or ebooks links to Web pages for further incite, or clarifications, diagrams, charts, videos... they are sorely lacking in a reference book. Not that the author did not put a good deal of work into the subject, how can you really cover all this material in just a few sentences of a paragraph?
3 stars, and I would really like to see more put into this book.
