By The Wolf TOP 50 REVIEWERVINE VOICE on 2 Oct. 2016
Format: Audio CD
Irish singer/songwriter Wallis Bird has an extraordinary voice; the kind of instrument which
jumps from a fragile whisper to the kind of roar which could strip the paint from ceilings in
a single bound; the kind of voice which can make you shiver or lift your heart with pure joy!

Her new album 'Home' has got the lot. Passion, power and aching tenderness. The real deal!

Rip-roaring soulful R&B numbers such as 'Odun' and 'Control' deliver thrills and chills aplenty;
'That Leads The Way', with its gently chugging rhythm and sweet harmonies, has a beautiful
melody; 'I Want It I Need It' is a deeply affecting exercise in stripped-down emotional yearning.

Best of the bunch? I'll take 'Love', an uplifting and gloriously innocent arrangement whose enthusiastic
choir and life-affirming chorus will warm your blood in the cold months ahead. A perfectly blissful thing!

Trust me here. You need this music and THAT voice in your life!

Essential.
