Its a shame this kind of work isn't more appreciated by the general population: would surely make for happier days and less road rage!
Another five star album. Thanks Jane.
I also don't like her inflicting her voice coach Peter Eldridge on us as a singer - she did the same thing in her Rainbow Room concert. He obviously knows the technicalities of singing, but his delivery is lacklustre, uninteresting to listen to. "It's Only Smoke" is a new intriguing song to me, but his involvement spoilt it.
On the plus side most tracks are very enjoyable, particularly those featuring Mark O'Connor on violin - he plays in a Grappelli-ish kind of way that worked really well on some of these tracks; would have liked to hear more from him.
Highlight - "I didn't know about you / All Too Soon" medley
This album is, like all her albums, great and Jane needs to do a tour in the UK so she becomes better known over here.
I recal first experiencing her voice on one of Parkinson's chat shows.
