Product Description

Synopsis

The Reverend Aelwyn wrote this book after retiring as a parish priest of 45 years. He regarded sorting out problems between present and 'past' tenants as part of his job as a parson. He soon found that spirits had their own problems. During his ministry he was able to help in some small part. In the book he describes the variety of spirits he has met and talked to and also helped during the years.

Well, if you can't believe a vicar who can you believe? Who would have thought that there could be so many ghosts in that small area around Bangor.
Each story is unique and the follow ups are fascinating particularly when the Reverend Roberts discovers more facts about a ghost's life, from elderly folk living in the community.

This book provides a great insight into the processes that are used in seances and exorcism, and a real man's views on the existence of the spirit world. Roberts' points are both believable and persuasive, and it is remarkable to think this man never saw a ghost. A great read for believer and non-believer alike, but could have been a little longer.

I didn't want this book so that I would be terrified but more because I am interested in life after death and where the essence of individuals go to and what about all that emotion of the people left behind! It satisfied on these levels, that there is more between heaven and earth than we can logically account for and just because we may not have experienced it directly doesn't mean it can be dismissed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book! 3 April 2010
By Shari S. - Published on Amazon.com

I found this book spell-binding. I stayed up for two work nights in a row to finish Roberts' reports of his ghostly encounters. Seriously entertaining, this is a must-read for all those who are intrigued by true tales of hauntings. (And what an impeccable witness: a highly respected Welsh minister!)

5.0 out of 5 stars A "must read" for those enthralled by real ghost stories. 31 Dec. 1996
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
"Holy Ghostbuster", written by retired parson Reverend
J Aelwyn Roberts, is a serious, yet light-spirited account of
the supernatural contacts made by the Reverend during his
tenure as the Director of Social Work for the Diocese of Bangor,
England.Called upon by parishoners to help them rid their homes
of frightening and troublesome unseen inhabitants, the Reverend
Roberts learned first hand that physical death is not the end
of our journey. Recounted with an easy but critical style,
the Reverend's brushes with the supernatural will
leave the amateur ghost hunter spell-bound, while leaving the
appetites of the seasoned spiritualist thoroughly satisfied.

5.0 out of 5 stars It will make you a believer 24 July 2001
By Amanda L Edwards - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
If you are a skeptic, or know one who does not believe in ghosts or as A. Roberts describes them as "earthbound spirits", this book will "definitely" change your view. With personal accounts from a vicor from the Church of Wales, these encounters with the spirit world are exceptional educational literature for everyone. I have personally been to many of the places referred to in this book, such as Rhyl and Anglesey. This book alone, has sparked an drastic spiritual interest in the spirit world that is impossible to shake. The stories span several decades and will live in your memory for years to come, guaranteed!

5.0 out of 5 stars It just might make you a believer of the paranormal 2 Jun. 2008
By P. Neech - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This is a great read if you are at all interested in the paranormal. Written by a parson in England who explains how he came to be involved with a small group of people who help send troublesome spirits 'on their way'. The stories are written in a down to earth manner and are very believable. There is no reason to be scared of ghosts, they give you proof, dont they, that there IS life after death...
