A new take on the Invisible Man lore. Hollow Man starring Kevin Bacon as Sebastien Caine, a brilliant but egocentric scientist who has been challenged by the government to make invisiblity a reality. After a successful experiment using a primate, Sebastien decides to make a drastic leap to human testing, himself the Guinea Pig, much to the dismay of his colleagues and best friends Linda McCay (Elizabeth Shue of 80's Karate Kid fame) and Mathew Kensington (Josh Brolin). After successfully turning himself invisible he finds that reversing the process is not as easy and as his time being invisible lengthens so does his inhibitions, with disaster ours results for all those who come in contact with him.
Following on from the success of the first film a sequel was obvious however with non of the original cast being on board the series took a new direction. The sequel stars Christian Slater as a elite government assassin who volunteers for the Invisiblity program created in the first film. However when Slater finds that the longer he remains invisible the quicker he is likely to die he sets out to find the team responsible for revenge and a possible cure.
Both films have good video and audio, as you'd expect from recent film releases and are on a single disc. The first film is the directors cut version, with additional violence and scenes which were previously trimmed to prevent the audience from losing sympathy for the main character.
