Holiday Heat was an absolute pleasure to read, and is a sure-fire way to kick-start a sizzling summer.
One week. A holiday in Greece. Four people enjoying a holiday they’ll never forget. A story I’ll always remember.
As can be expected from Cameron, in all his sexy yet gentlemanly glory, Holiday Heat is a steamy, emotionally-driven piece of writing and, true to his form, Cameron doesn’t disappoint. It’s scorching but tender, wildly erotic, yet romantic and sweet; unpredictable but easy reading.
Cameron has a poetic voice and a refreshing style that makes each of his stories unique, and Holiday Heat was no different. Suzie, Rob, Donna and Kev are all different characters in their own right, but they connect with each other, becoming real people in the reader’s eye and are instantly relatable. They find themselves in a situation many find themselves in everyday but shy away from or hide, through shame or guilt.
This fantastic foursome doesn’t!
I found myself completely immersed in the story, wondering what was coming next, who would make the next move – who would break first and expose the secrets the four of them tried to hide. There were moments where I gasped, times when I squirmed and instances where I found my own desires evident within the pages of the intricate tale Cameron wove.
It’s another solid read from Cameron Lincoln; another story I fell in love with; a story that cemented my awe of and respect for the man who pens these tales, using words to paint vivid pictures designed to open up your mind, give you a new perspective and help you self-reflect…all while allowing you to escape to a Greek beach with a glass of cold beer in your hand as a wild, exciting and experimental foursome frolic in the sea.
For Suzie and Rob a week away on a beautiful Greek Island is the just what they need. Taking the opportunity to leave work behind and have some fun exploring their new relationship.
Along for the ride Kev and Donna are excited to enjoy the delights the island has to offer...Sun, Sea and plenty of Sex.
To the locals they look like a group of friends indulging in some R&R but underneath passions are rising and the chance of an indiscretion or two are looking too hard to resist.
No matter the outcome, this week will certainly be one they never forget.
Having read Cameron’s exquisite poetry I had anticipated that I’d probably be biting my lip throughout this book. What I didn’t anticipate was that Mr. Lincoln had the ability to make me blush...given I have read and reviewed many books in the erotica/romance genre this is the first time I have experienced that through writing.
Yes this book is an erotic romance set against the backdrop of a beautiful island full of sexually charged moments but it is also a book of substance and a book that in a unique way encourages you to question your own morality.
I don’t doubt that questions will be raised and you will find yourself asking...Would I? Could I? In their situation I guess the possibilities are endless.
I think for any reader the chance to identify with the characters is paramount, for me all four of the main characters offered that.
The character that stood out for me was Donna, at first I thought she was a token in the book to add substance to the group but as the story progressed it was her need for intimacy, her need for that something more that brought her to life.
Having never been to a Greek Island I relied on the descriptive to take me there and I wasn’t disappointed. Although the focus was on the characters the backdrop was detailed perfectly. I’ll be booking a flight out soon!
I have no doubt that anyone familiar with Cameron’s work would love this book. It’s passionate, indulgent and will have you craving more when it’s over. Incidentally I hope there will be.
For all those that are unfamiliar, what have you got to lose?
