In Round Midnight By Donna Hill you immediately want to just shake some since into Dr. Summer Lane. You are instantly able to relate to her aloofness but you want her to see her prize right their in her face by way of Tre Holland. You are reminded of your teenage years when your crushing on someone but don't know how to act on those actions. You are enveloped in the characters coming to the realization that they overcome past burdens and finally find happiness in each other. Thankfully for both Summer and Tre they have an amazing support systems that gives each the kick in the pants they need to realize they their futures are staring them in the face. As well as helping them heal when a betrayal of trust threatens to tear the couple permanently apart.
In Blind Faith by Kayla Perrin you get the opportunity to believe in the miracle of second chances. Mark Potter reunites with his first love Andrea Dawson by chance. During the encounter Mark wants to reconnect while Andrea fights tooth and nail to leave the past in the past. The problem is she's still haunted by her careless actions as a teenager and the longing in her heart for what could have been. Just when you think they'll remain to ships passing in the night your rewarded with the miracle of their connection to each other and humbled my Mark's persistence to allow angels to guide him to her. You are allowed to see that not only has Mark and Andrea changed but her family who was the catalyst of their separation as well. You wish for them to see that their destiny is intertwined.
