Caitlin was a strong, no nonsense woman that did not let anyone push her around. I love that she didn't cave to what Katch wanted when she first met him. She definitely had a strong attraction to this man, but she didn't swoon and cave to his *$$holery. She really made him work to gain her attention and affections.
Katch was really wanting Caitlin from the moment she yelled at him with her smart mouth as he drove passed her on the side of the highway. He never really wanted anything more than sex from a woman, so his deep attraction for Caitlin hit him on a level he never felt before. I loved how Katch was a total badass man who was not afraid to change. The characters in this story really did change and evolve with the story, it made them grow as people.
The only complaint that I have about this book is that it really left me wanting more. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't left with a cliffy ending...it was just one of those books that have you so immersed in the story and characters that you just don't want it to end. I am definitely a huge fan of those two secretive authors, Charlie Lee, and their impressive writing ability.
I really liked Katch - I thought he was a super character. He was dark, mysterious, dangerous, ruthless, but also had an incredible protective streak to him as well. He was totally alpha and demanding, but I enjoyed his character throughout. He was also really honest - he doesn't try hiding who he is or what he does, and I liked that aspect.
Caitlin's character started off a bit awkward for me and I wasn't sure I was going to like her, but the more the story went on she did grow on me. By the end I found her to be far more likeable and her courageous side and strength came through.
The story line itself was brilliant - it has loads of action and some huge twists you just didn't see coming! I really enjoyed the pace of the story, and although it started off a little slow, by the end I simply could not put it down. My heart was racing and pages were turning! The suspense and excitement was brilliant, and not forgetting the super hot scenes between Caitlin and Katch!! Phew!
There were a couple of unnecessary moments in the book, which didn't really add anything to the story, but overall a great book. Some of the story didn't flow quite as much as I would have liked, but this by no means took away from the enjoyment of the story.
I loved some of the secondary characters and the friendships and bonds formed were great!
I definitely recommend you give this book a go an discover Katch for yourself!
A great debut novel from this secret duo of authors (tell us who you are!!!), and I certainly look forward to what they will bring next.
First off, I'll say it took me a while to warm to Caitlin & Katch. She's a hard nosed lawyer and he's an over sexed bearded dude who doesn't care where he dips his wick. Not exactly heartthrob material. However, when they meet - phew! Cold shower time!
When Caitlin runs for her life after her father is murdered and her home is ransacked she goes to her cousin Curtis. He's so far on the wrong side of the law from her as you can get and I suspected things from her past weren't as she believed.
Katch is all dark, brooding & mysterious. After picking up Caitlin, who was Hitchhiking towards Curtis, he finds himself as her protector and eventually more.
The Hitchhiker flows seamlessly with no stutters or joins to indicate that two authors wrote this book. The story us fluid, fast paced an sexy as hell. The reasons they ended up together are dealt with swiftly. The Hitchhiker has a bit of everything, sex, drugs, violence, intrigue, and love. A brilliant debut as joint authors, Charlie Lee's further books will go straight in your TBR lists.
Katch Sterling. Oh Katch. I rarely drool over men in a book. To be honest I wouldn't be able to name my top five. However I'm adding Katch to my very short list. He's hot. He's a killer. He's 100% alpha male and I'm claiming him as mine. Yep I might be a little twisted in wanting him. In fact if I thought he'd stop and give me a ride I'd go and hitchhike now:)
I should really be jealous of Caitlin Winslow but I can't. She's a fantastic female character. Her courageous self shone through.
These two are so opposite. She's a lawyer. He's a killer. Katch gets more than he bargains for when he stops for a hitchhiker.
This was so much more than an opposite attracts story. It's a romantic suspense with some great twists. I highly recommend this read.
Two authors coming together under a different name. Awesome idea. Look forward to reading lots more from them in the future.

Katch…what can I say about this tall, handsome stranger, who forcefully tries to sweep Caitlin off her feet, even while trying to play the big bad wolf.
Katch is not your typical everyday Joe…by that I mean he does not follow rules, he does not ask permission, he takes what he wants, he does what he wants, when he wants, and how he wants…so pretty much you do as he says…or you hit the long dusty road to no where.
Caitlin is from the right side of the tracks so to speak…she grew up with money and turned out just like her father wanted her to.
Her life might not be what she wanted it to be, but she has done very well for herself. One day her life gets turned upside down and everything she has ever known or believes in is suddenly in question.
Along with all the drams that is packed in this read you will find a love story. Katch and Caitlin push/pull each other and challenge one another at every turn. They learn how to bend for the other and give the other what they are lacking…what they are missing.
Caitlin Winslow hasn't had the easiest life. After her mother passed away she was left with her father raising her. He's turned her into the best cut-throat defense lawyer. She's feared. When her father is murdered she definitely doesn't cry.
Then, the same guys who killed her dad are know after her. Caitlin goes to the one person who can help her. While Caitlin's on the way to her cousin Curtis and his MC, her car breaks down. With no cell reception she's forced to hitchhike the way. Until he stops.
Katch Sterling knows stopping to help the woman walking on the side of the road will bite him in the ass. But, man he didn't realize how big, hard and deep that bite was going to be. Turns out his pain is cousins with Curtis. Katch and Curtis go way back. Katch does anything Curtis and his guys from the MC need. Katch isn't a patched member of the club. But, is considered a member. What he is is a killer. It is his job. One he's excellent at.
Curtis doesn't trust anybody to watch over his cousin and keep her alive but Katch. Katch makes it his mission to find the guys after Caitlin, aka to him Hollywood. The problem is once Katch, Curtis and a few of the other guys start digging into Caitlin's fathers life there's more and more stuff not adding up. It turns into one huge nasty wicked storm. One that if they're not careful with none of them will make it out alive!
Again, I'm soooooo glad I bought this! I ended up reading over 60% while sitting outside getting a tan. But, it was bc of Katch who kept me so involved in the story. In the beginning he was kinda scary hot. But, the he's around Caitlin he starts changing. Not bad. Bc he owns up to what he is and doesn't hide it. But, bc he lets Caitlin in.
And, Caitlin in the beginning I thought I was going to hate her. But, the more time she spends around Katch, Curtis and everybody else she changes. After her mom passed away her father took everything about her mom away. She turned to stone like her father. Now, that her father is gone she can start to be herself again. Caitlin starts remembering more and more of her mother. While it knocks her down at first, she comes back swinging. Caitlin wants to live her life for her now. And, the one thing she wants is Katch.
Thanks to Charlie Lee, every time I use my apple scented conditioner I'll daydream of Katch. There are so many side characters in this story and I'm beyond excited to know the hot sexy brothers are next. Zeke and Brick. I can't wait!
Caitlin is running. Turns out that whoever killed her father is after her. So when her car breaks down in the middle of the night, Caitlin finds herself with no other option but to hitchhike to get to the safety of her cousin. Enter Katch, the sexy man who picks her up. And let me tell you, the sexual attraction and chemistry between these two is INTENSE. I could literally feel the heat coming off my Kindle as I read. Once Katch finds out why Caitlin is running, this bada$$ killer is all over that.
"I kill and protect. You've just officially become my next assignment. I'll kill to protect you. End of fu$&ing story." Swoon!!
The Hitchhiker immediately sucks you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what will happen next. It's a romantic suspense that's full of so many secrets and serious twists that I wanted to rush to the end to get answers; yet when I got there I wanted to go back so the story wasn't over. Both Caitlin and Katch are wonderful characters who I liked from the very beginning. The secondary characters were also great and I am soo hoping we get more. I'd love to get stories on Snake, Brick and Zeke (Dr. Hot Pants). The acknowledgements at the end of this story say we can expect book 2 in late spring. I can not wait!
