Visually, the book is awesome. It is laid out very professionally and is easy to read, with quality graphics. It contains results for practically every JCP-promoted show over the 83-88 time period, with attendance figures for several of the shows. However, my favorite part of the book is that it is illustrated with numerous newspaper ads, posters, etc. that were used to advertise many of the events listed in the book. This book doesn't just cover big shows like the Starrcades and Great American Bashes, it covers them all, great and small. If you are an old-school fan like me, the illustrations will really make you wax nostalgic for the good old days of territorial wrestling.
Besides the illustrations, my other favorite feature is that the book also chronicles every known wrestling card where the NWA title was defended during the same period of 83-88. Therefore, you not only get match results from JCP cards, you also get records from entire wrestling cards from Georgia Championship Wrestling, World Class, Portland, Florida, Alabama, Japan, and other NWA territories where the NWA title was defended. It really makes you appreciate the absolutely insane schedule of the NWA champ back in the day.
Besides match results, there are also written summaries of entire JCP TV shows of Mid-Atlantic Wrestling, World-Wide Wrestling, and World Championship Wrestling that help to capture the important story lines and angles that were leading to the matches in the arenas.
I am looking forward to future editions from other territories in the future from these guys. I would love to see a similar book covering Mid-South, Florida, and especially Georgia Championship Wrestling from the 70's and 80's.
