Format: Hardcover
This is an interesting introductory survey of Britain in the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages. The two-page chapters each explain an aspect of life and culture in those periods, in a volume intended for modern schoolchildren - and interested adults.

Each excellently-illustrated and written chapter includes internet links to sites giving further information on the subject, and there is a quiz question from the book’s resident cartoon detective - the bloodhound Sherlock Bones.

The Contents are –
P04: Who were the first Britons?
P06: When was the Middle Stone Age?
P08: What did people do in the Stone Age?
P10: What were Stone Age tombs like?
P12: Why was Stonehenge built?
P14: When did the Bronze Age begin?
P16: Who were the Beaker People?
P18: When did people learn to make iron?
P20: What were Iron Age homes like?
P22: Who were the Celts?
P24: What did the Celts believe in?
P26: How did the Iron Age end?
P28: Your project
P30: Glossary
P31: Answers & Further Information
