5.0 out of 5 stars un libro excelente 20 Jun. 2013

Ficcion?

5.0 out of 5 stars I like Vasquez in general and Historia secreta de Costaguana in particular 3 Dec. 2012

Historia secreta de Costaguana has all the ingredients of a book that I like - a broad historical background, an interesting plot, a clear realistic style and above all a good dose of irony.

It is the third book of Vasquez that I have read and I am waiting for his new novels.

He joined Saramago and Camus as one of my favorite writers

Excelente lectura.

3.0 out of 5 stars Historia secreta de Costaguana 31 Oct. 2012
By Joe - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
The interesting part of the book dealt with the building of the Panama Canal - despite tremendous political, technical and public health setbacks. The tiresome part was the implausibility of the main character -- how did he live but never have a job? The protagonist is really one of those people who think, mistakenly, that everything is about them. In fact he, like most narcissists, is dull an morally repellent.
