4.0 out of 5 stars An Intense Read.... 2 May 2017
By Nicole J Plummer - Published on Amazon.com

Jeanette’s only goal is to find the person who killed her sister’s killer and possibly get revenge. She goes to the last place she knows her sister worked. If she can get a job there, she thinks she will be able to find the information she needs to expose those responsible.
Ty is the second in charge of The Cleaners and he’s no Prince Charming. He makes no excuses for the things he’s done and would do them all again.
She has no idea what she’s in for when she auditions for a job but it’s not that simple and she’s not prepared to be locked up when they discover who she is. When they tell her why her sister was killed and what she was involved in Jeanette must face that her sister may not have been the person she thought she was.
When she finally submits to Ty and is able to leave the prison she’s been in and she’s able to come face to face with the person who actually killed her sister she has to make the decision of whether or not she will protect the man she loves or if she will turn them in and potentially end up dead, just like her sister.
I’m a fan of Doris O’Connor and the books she writes. This book is well written and the characters are well developed. I will say that this book falls into the category of ‘dark erotica’ or ‘dark romance’, however you want to categorize it. While it’s not even close to what some people would consider dark or what I would even consider extremely dark, I would say that if stories like that bother you or aren’t your type of story that this isn’t the book for you.

This was good solid read but at the end I felt as if there was more to say.The end of the story felt like there were some steps missing.I liked the chemistry with the two main characters, but I didn't like this insta love match.I also was little turned off by the way Ty almost forces is agenda,I guess I wanted a little more romance.Th is was a good story ,not a great one but worth your reading time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Punish Me...Please??? 6 July 2016
By Knotty Girl Reviews - Published on Amazon.com

You know how when one of your favorite authors puts out a book, you wait impatiently for it to become available in those wee hours of the morning? Then, armed with coffee and maybe pervertables to keep your eyelids open, you dive into the book and forgo that precious commodity known as sleep? Yup, His To Punish is definitely that book. (And this is the second time this week, so thanks Kera Faire and Doris, my coffee maker loves you.)

His to Punish is the second book in the Cleaners series. The Cleaners are a group of men who work for mob boss Owen Huntly, cleaning up the scum of London. Their biggest beef is with The Priestley gang, a horrid bunch of slime who, amongst other things, are involved in human trafficking. Our last book was about Owen’s right hand man, Ren, and his girl Susie. (A 5 Orgasm read)

His To Punish is about the second in command, Ty Mason. Fans (This reviewer included) have been eagerly awaiting Ty’s book since the release of His Prize. Jeanette MacArthur is a dance teacher who just happens to be the sister of Myrtle, the prostitute who stole from and betrayed Huntly in His Prize, and was killed by Ren. Jeanette applies for a job at La Masquerade so she can exact revenge on Ren. She was also shown pictures by our infamous detective, Wonsan. (Heck, I was rooting for cement booties for the guy.)

Ty suspects something is up with her, and a trip to her apartment that results in injury for him, puts all of the Cleaners on edge. Jeanette gets herself a trip to the cellar. Tempers flare. Sparks ignite. Bottoms get spanked! And Doris writes another one and hits it out of the park, or for you European fans, scores a goal!

Love, Hate and Revenge.

When Jeanette, a former dance teacher, steps into La Masquerade as a dancer, she thought she knew all she needed to know. She had a plan. No matter what else happens, she would get revenge for the death of her sister.

What happens after she auditions was not what she ever expected and it tested her at every step. It even made her question the relationship she thought she had with her sister.

Upfront disclosure, I haven’t read the first book in this series. I love a series where each book can be read as a standalone while a common thread or reoccurring characters tie the series together. His To Punish has all the right elements to make it as a standalone. Readers new to the BDSM genre should be aware that it also has a variety of things that may not be what a first time reader of erotic romance is expecting. That being said this book and the plot showed the characters every facet, good, bad, everything.

The chemistry between Jeanette and Ty was hot and sizzling and the passion was brought out more with every chapter I read.

As second in command of the Cleaners, Ty is full on Dominant with a capital D. I love everything about the story but was a little surprised at how quickly Jeanette embraces becoming a submissive. The author may have felt rushed to get beyond that aspect of the relationship, the push/pull of a new submissive, to develop the rest of the plot and build on Ty and Jeanette’s HEA. The story doesn’t lag but moves quickly and kept my attention.

Overall, I truly enjoyed this book. It has love, family, and just the right amount of sizzling chemistry.
