In "The Highly Sensitive Person, you will discover:
* Self-assessment tests to help you identify your particular sensitivities
* Ways to reframe your past experiences in a positive light and gain greater self-esteem in the process
* Insight into how high sensitivity affects both work and personal relationships
* Tips on how to deal with overarousal
* Informations on medications and when to seek help
* Techniques to enrich the soul and spirit

This is a wonderfully helpful book for people with the innate trait of high sensitivity. The test in the beginning is already worth getting the book for as it is very reassuring to see our qualities reflected. I've read this book a few times - on each occasion getting something new from it. Now there is a DVD out by the author which can also add to our self awareness. A new book for sensitive people I found recently and would highly recommend for its wisdom is 'The Emerging Sensitive' by Maria Hill.

I haven't finished this yet, but there is a feeling, sometimes, of the author trying not to be too assured with her assertions.Read more
Money grab. She found a small amount of people in the world who happen to be more sensitive than others, she labelled them so she could make some 'study' off of them.Read more
This book has given me a great insight into myself and what it means to be highly sensitive. Thank you.
