I had read all the customer reviews so was expecting the tubing to fall off, which it did. Now you could gaffer tape it back on but a neater solution is a quick roughen up with sandpaper and a dab of shower sealant. A proper job in no time. So why don't Gelert do that in the first place? It comes ready assembled so presumably someone is putting tube 'a' on to spout 'b'. Would it add too much to the unit cost to seal it?
The output from the shower head is pretty feeble but from experience with similar set-ups you soon develop a satisfactory technique. I may drill a few more tiny holes in the head and I feel sure that will go some way towards getting a better shower.
It has a chart on the black side showing time and temperature achievable (given an ambient temperature of 21C) The outside temp in the sun was 8C and I managed 12C water temp after 2 and 1/2 hours. So in the summer very possibly there will be hot water
I bought this to provide two showers per day while wild camping by a Scottish loch. I think it will do the job fine. I would recommend this item with some reservations. As I said at the start, you get what you pay for.
I see what other reviewers mean about the connections leaking a little - but then I didnt pay hundreds of pounds, so dont really expect too much - it is also quite heavy when full.
Final note to anyone buying this ( or at least any camping novices like me) - the plastic tube is to put through the top to strengthen it for hanging - it might sound obvious, but it wasnt to me, and I left it at home, having wondered for ages what part it played in this gadget - nearly ripped the top of the bag with the weight without it!
I should have gone with my gut feeling. All they seem to be good for is pouring cold water on yourself, which any decent bucket will be able to do. They don't seem to heat up to any comfortable temperature, no matter how long they get left in the sun for. The best I managed was verging on lukewarm. The tubes leak, forcing me to resort to duck taping them to the bag, the bags don't empty properly due to the placement of the tube and the handle began to rip even with only a half full bag. The flow is dodgy as well unless the bag is hung from something. Tough if you don't have anywhere to do so.
The one good thing about them is that the tap for turning the water flow on and off is pretty rugged.
Basically, just get yourself a bucket instead.

Would not even let water flow through it at all, and then fell apart in my hands.
Waste of time and money.
I have bought similar products in the past but this one I won't be buying again. It is a poor design...it leaks from every opening! Very disappointing.Published on 13 May 2014 by Ms K J Wintringham
I bought this to use in my own bathroom since we did not have any hot water for 3 weeks. The bag needs to be placed fairly high up to get the right pressure, which was a bit... Read morePublished on 17 Feb. 2014 by Karin Yiannakou
