Ash is one bad ass woman, she doesn’t suffer fools and makes her displeasure abundantly clear – you go girl!!
Dan is the bass guitarist with Power Station and is the dictionary definition of man whore! He has no brain to mouth filter and cares even less about the fact that his tact and diplomacy are non existent – I just loved him – he was so rude, crude and unrepentant that it was impossible not too!
He catches a glimpse of Ash while she is waiting to be interviewed for a job with Lexi and I found myself chuckling when he tried his hand and she shot him down in flames – just not playing that game – good girl! But while she could brush him aside, he couldn’t forget the chopsy little madam that didn’t fall under his spell and does everything he can at every available opportunity to spend time with her.
I honestly cried so much with the antics, it was superb!!
Dan really came into his own later in the book and you will be completely besotted by him before the end, when you get to know the real him – the one he hides under all his bravado – he is adorable.
His journey of self-discovery is what made this book for me, I like Ash but I absolutely loved Dan.
I love a good rock star book; I like my rockers in all flavours. Dark and brooding, mansluts, cocky, damaged I don’t care I love them all!!!
Dan is my hero!!! He’s hilarious, cocky and seriously sexy!!! I loved absolutely everything about him!!
He’s so cock sure and full of bravado I was laughing out loud at his witty banter and antics.
Ashley is a real sweetie, her hang ups were annoying at times but I just loved her snarky attitude and the way she bantered with Dan.
This couple have sooooooo much chemistry, they played and bantered and I think the casual playfulness was like ongoing foreplay. Once the finally got into bed the sex was Hotttt!!
I did have to keep checking that I hadn’t missed a book that explained Lexi and Stone’s relationship. Obviously they had a whole other series, I think it would have enhanced the story to understand their relationship but it didn’t affect my reading experience.
This is the first book I have read by T Gephart but it definitely won’t be the last!!!
I loved this book, it was saucy and sweet I completely engaged with Dan and Ash as a couple and I loved watching them fall for each other.
I’m going straight into the next book but High Strung gets 4.5 stars from me
Ashlyn is a woman with a plan. I like plans. I live for lists and organisation so I related to her and felt her despair at her plans hitting one of those nasty little "life" speed bumps.
Dan is one hell of a cheeky chappy. One liners, sexual innuendos, hilarious ideals and all around good hearted guy underneath some egotistical bravado. Fluff me, I fell. And hard.
It was easy to see that Ash had no chance of him not derailing her from all she had known of adulthood up until this point.
But it was humbling to see Dan getting knocked on his arse by this remarkable woman that he just couldn't stay away from. His attempts at making her his girl and bringing new experiences into her life, ones she had forced herself to miss out on because she was strict on herself growing up, growing away from the world she had been born into.
This book had it all. The ego, the doubt, the push-and-pull between them, the sexual tension a blind man could see. Everything. Oh, and the angst. The angst was there is spades.
The emotions I felt throughout the story was of the highest highs but of the lowest lows. Dan and Ashlyn's tale will be a whirlwind, a rollercoaster and you want more. You crave more. I cannot wait for more from the Power Station gang and am eagerly awaiting more quips and one-liners from Dan along the way!
