About the Author

I write fun, flirty fiction, with feisty heroines and a bit of an edge. Writing romance is cool, because I get to wear pretty shoes instead of wellies. I live in a mountain kingdom in Derbyshire, where my family and pets are kind enough to ignore the domestic chaos. Happily, we’re in walking distance of a supermarket. I love hearts, flowers, happy endings, all things vintage, most things French. When I’m not on Facebook, and can’t find an excuse for shopping, I’ll be walking, or gardening. On days when I want to be really scared, I ride a tandem.

For a book to catch my eye, especially in a genre that I wouldn’t normally choose, it has to have a great cover. This was my kind of cover; red, white and blue bunting and a beautiful bicycle, I just had to check it out. As soon as I found out one of the characters was a hot, toned and tanned pro-cyclist (with added lycra) I was in and once in – wow, this book was sexy hot! Meet bad boy Jackson Gale and ice cool Bryony Marshall.

This book is the explosion of emotions that occurs when two slightly screwed up control freaks, used to their successful winning ways always getting them what they wanted, find themselves flailing in unknown territory when their paths collide. However it is so much more than just a hot romance as the author analyses their underlying emotional issues just as well as she describes the raw lust and passion that draws them to each other. There is plenty of humour too.

When they both experience life changing events, they realise things must change and that their tried and tested winning ways aren’t as perfect as they thought after all. But will listening to other people’s points of view really help?

I couldn’t put this book down despite their dithering and the ‘will they/won’t they’ moments almost driving me mad.

I now want to read more from Jane Linfoot and luckily for me (and my love of books set in France) her novel ‘How to Win a Guy in Ten Dates’ is partially set in Provence.

I absolutely love Jane Linfoot’s style of writing and her fun, fast-paced and flirty books never fail to put a smile on my face. For people looking for some sexy chick-lit, she’d be the first author I’d recommend. I loved How to Win a Guy in 10 Dates and The Right Side of Mr. Wrong was even better – leaving me completely excited for Jane’s latest novel. High Heels & Bicycle Wheels is Jane’s best book yet!

When I read The Right Side of Mr. Wrong, I loved Bryony and really wanted to see her involved more so I was thrilled she got her own standalone novel. I was laughing from virtually the first line and swooning halfway down the page. As soon as Bryony crashes into celebrity cyclist Jackson Gale to kick off this story, I just knew I was going to love the chemistry between them and the crazy ride they were sure to go on. I dare anyone to read High Heels & Bicycle Wheels and not fall in love with Jackson – or at least need to cool yourself down a few hundred times.

I loved Bryony – she was stubborn and feisty and not afraid to show her flirtatious, playful side. Her interaction with Jackson was completely the highlight of this book. Not only was it plain HOT, the way they both always wanted their own way when you knew one would have to back down, and how they both teased each other for their own quirks (ironed knickers, anyone?) really livened the book up and made it downright wonderful, light-hearted entertainment.

As I reached about two thirds of the way through, I loved how the plot was developing and building up to a great ending and this was yet another reminder of what a charming, fabulous author Jane is. I liked how as well as Jackson and Bryony’s stories, other characters have been created which I could easily see in their own standalone novel such as Cressy.

First things first, I must warn you – this story is pretty darn hot! Needless to say, I loved it. Ahem.
Jackson! Don’t get even get me started… At first I wasn’t keen on him, he may have been ‘all gravelly voice and hollow cheeks and stubble’ but he seemed very much the ‘love ‘em and leave ‘em’ type but then I found out he liked watching Disney films and WHAM! I was in love… The chemistry between him and Bryony is amazing and they are one of the hottest couples I’ve ever read about (and also, at times, one of the most infuriating!) I loved Bryony, a mix between ‘Barbie and Wonder Woman’ she is my kind of girl. She likes her heels and her hair straighteners and there’s nothing wrong with that. She is strong and feisty; however her take on relationships is not the best. After losing her Dad in the way she did I can understand her fear of getting close to anyone. Then there’s Jackson who’s Mum walked out on him and his brothers, leaving him with a fear of commitment too. All in all Bryony and Jackson are so much alike and they both like to be in control which could either be a recipe for disaster or a match made in heaven…
I love Jane Linfoot and I was hugely excited about High Heels and Bicycle Wheels and in no way at all did it disappoint. It was sexy, funny, FULL of passion and totally absorbing. I had to find out if Jackson and Bryony would be together. It’s not predictable as there are a few unexpected twists and turns to events which will keep you guessing what’s going to happen.
I thought that having the story from both Jackson and Bryony’s perspective’s was a great idea, that way you feel as though you bond with both characters and I love always knowing what the other one might be thinking.

'High Heels and Bicycle Wheels' is a must read for all sexy romance addicts.

If you read Jane Linfoot's last novel you will recognise Bryony Marshall. She is the sister of Brando the hero of 'The Right Side of Mr Wrong'. Bryony, a production assistant meets the celebrity guest of her latest show in a most revealing way. Jackson a sexy cyclist, super stud proves hard for the feisty heroine to ignore despite her controlling nature and hard-won independence. The chemistry between the two is rapid and leads to the first of many sensuous encounters in a novel that is teeming with sensuality.

I love the realistic touches of humour. Bryony and Jackson's often painful soul-searching reveals their complexities and vulnerabilities. This insight into their psyche makes them likeable even when they behave badly. The story's originality is refreshing, as is the whistle-stop tour of England's coast and countryside, making this a great holiday read.

If you like your love scenes prolific and fiery and enjoy a nail-biting, romantic ending 'High Heels and Bicycles' is for you.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review
