I read it because I've wanted a closure after the Officer Lover and the premise of Jordan roaming around in Europe with a Mossad agent sounded intriguing. However it felt like the book just had a awful lot of "fillers" (e.g. 'I've gone to sleep', 'I woke up', 'I sipped a coffee', 'I've left my coffee') and hardly touched any depth on the actual story or on characters. It feels like the actual story, action and character built could have fitted in the third of the book.

Arrived before delivery due date which is always a bonus. The book itself was in excellent condition, could not fault it and the storyline is brilliant, one of those books you cannot put down but on the other hand you don't want to finish. Would highly recommend purchasing from this supplier. Thank you.

I was so relieved when I came to the end of The Officer's Lover to find that Pam Jenoff was already working on a sequel. The end product being A Hidden Affair. I couldn't wait for it to be published in papaerback and I wasn't disappointed.

It catches up with Jordan Weiss soon after the end of the previous novel and takes you at break neck speed across Europe in search of her lost love. I also had to read it at break neck speed as it drags you in to the intrigue.

It could be read as a stand alone novel but benefits from the details from The Officer's Lover, in itself an excellent read. The Officer's Lover

I love Pam Jenoff's books, but I was very disappointed with 'A hidden affair'. There seemed to be an awful lot of waffling. I feel that you have to have read the previous book to understand what was going on, but even then I was confused in places.
I'm looking forward to reading her latest book 'The orphan train' and I hope that this book was just a blip.

This story contines on from Pam Jenoff's previous book " The officer's lover". I would totally reccomend you read the first book in this duo first so the second makes more sense to you. I loved the first book and i also have enjoyed this second book. There are lots of twists and turns to the story right up until the closing pages. This book is not what i would call a "wow" read - its a slow burner that gradulally gets better as you read on and on. you really feel like you get to know the characters and its really nice to finally know what happened to Jared - not at all what i expected! the love interest part however is alittle predictable! Its hard to descirbe who this book would appeal to most - its got love, espionage, adventure, action, drama. A very idfferent kind of read! 8/10 for me

i wanted this book as i had just read The Officer's Lover which precedes #The Hidden Affair. i wanted to know what happened to the characters and couldn't wait to begin reading. i wasn't disappointed, i couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. if you have read The Officer's Lover then this is a must - it ties up all the loose ends.

Having thoroughly enjoyed all of Pam's previous books, I awaited this book with eager anticipation. Unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. It lacked the suspense and pace of the previous books and the storyline just seemed to drag on. I was disappointed and it wasn't really worth the wait.

Very disappointing follow up. The character development was unsatisfactory and down right unbelievable as were several aspects of the plot. Jordan Weiss must be the most incompetent Intelligence Officer employed to date. I have enjoyed Pam Jenoff's other books but this one is the worst so far.
