The formula has recently changed and its not so claggy in consistency when measuring the scoops so makes the process a lot easier.
I still wish they'd change the packaging to a tin as you have to use a knife to level the scoop. There's a cardboard corner on the box but it's frankly neither use nor ornament and it's very easy to spill the powder which is incredibly sticky. I did write to Hipp about this as a suggestion but it's not changed yet.
The milk itself is amazing stuff and my daughter has been really well on it. We started off with queries over her milk and tolerance and tried Nutramigen, Aptamil Anti-Reflux and allsorts but eventually came back to this. It's the nicer tasting and consistency of all the milks in my opinion and works well for us.
Highly recommend for new babies in the baby formula though obviously as this is for 12 months plus.
The only thing that I found annoying is that it comes in one big bag as opposed to two bags for First Milk. It probably won't be a problem for someone who uses it throughout a day but the powder tends to get lumpy when opened for a longer period of time. I try to keep at least some of it in an airtight container but that just slows the process down but doesn't prevent it.
The only thing that annoys me is the smaller pack size (yet same box size!). It's 200g smaller than the first 3 stages. That said, I think it's probably still cheaper than buying fresh organic milk.
ALA is practically useless - it has no proven health benefits - less than 5% is converted to the beneficial forms of Omega 3 oils - DHA and EPA - these need to be sourced from fish oil or algae - so look out for these ingredients - if missing the Omega 3 label is actually a scam.
I feel very angry about this - unfortunately I don't have time to complain to advertising standards about this - if someone else reads this and also feels strongly about this and has some time available please take up the cause to hopefully prevent this cynical unethical behaviour.
Free delivery is a bonus too.
My son has had Hipp milk since he was 3 months old and has done very well on it
Doesn't dissolve as easily as some of the other hipp milks and the inner 'foil' bag is difficult to fold over and keep closed so I use tupperware.
