OK for the price but some issues

OK for the price but some issues
OK, but the links for triggering modes are just solder pads not pre-fitted links. Therefore it isn't as user friendly as other suppliers as it needs my soldering iron and magnifying glass once I figure out which way to link it. (Need to find cct diagram as well on the internet as there's nothing in the packet

These are very easy to get started with as there are only 3 connections. All the complexity is hidden. They work well as a human movement sensor. I just need to decide what that killer project will be. These are cheap enough to mess about with even without knowing their final purpose. Definitely a fun building block. An idea might be to power down a microprocessor LED display if no one is looking it it.
There seems to be some misprints on the quiescent power supply current. I think the units should be ~65 micro not milli amps.

very bad never works it says 12v but gives only 3v waste of money

This is a very neat little module, built on a good quality PCB, and works better than I expected. I did a web search for "HC-SR501 pir datasheet" and found some helpful information about using this device. At its maximum sensitivity setting, the module will detect human body motion even beyond its specified 7 metre range, provided that the motion is ACROSS the sensor's field of view. Detection range is greatly reduced when moving directly towards or away from the sensor. The data sheet that I found on the web explained the reasons for this. In my opinion, mounting the module could be a little tricky; two M2 mounting holes are provided on the PCB, but thread-stock below M3 tends to need a specialist supplier, and although M3 pillars are commonly available, I have yet to find any M2 pillars. The clearance between the mounting holes and the PCB conductors is very small, so care will be needed when incorporating this module into a housing. However, these are minor drawbacks; the module is good value for money, and works well if used correctly.

Now they have arrived I can review them.
Built and tested first part of an alarm system using these IR sensors, happy with
the result. they worked as expected triggering with no problems. Now to build and
test the rest of the system. Item as described and fully working to spec. Happy customer.

These PIRs are functional, but because they don't do any signal processing within the sensor, they can be subject to RF interference, which may result in false positives. Because of this, they were unsuitable for my purposes and I had to search for an alternative, which led me to another type of PIR with the signal processing done within the sensor. If you're having the same problem, Google "AM312 PIR" for a solution. It works straight out of the box.

This is the PIR sensor I mentioned in my review of the Toogoo Sound Module. I have several uses for a PIR sensor, one of which is to provide an alert signal if a hot plate (e.g. cooker, iron etc) is left unattended for more than a minute to two. This took ages to arrive from China, but it did finally arrive and within a few minutes I tested it on a breadboard to ensure that it worked. Ridiculously low price, which for schools projects would be totally budget-friendly.

Good when work but the first one did not work at all....second one worked intermittently and finally the third one worked and works well.....cheap crud.

Having purchased some of the Akuru, HC-SR501 sensors. These are the best quality! I have since purchased another 2 x from this seller.
These have two 105 potentiometers, which are clearly labelled "Sx" and "Tx", for sensitivity and for retriggering time.
The sensors are pre-made to re-trigger at a HIGH signal while motion is detected.
You can easily change this with some solder and a jumper lead.
I assure you, these are the sensors to purchase if your looking for quality. They take a little longer to arrive from China, but they are better than the Akuru ones offered in the Prime service which had bent capacitors on all 3 units.
Send a message if you need help to get it up and running with Arduino.

5.0 out of 5 stars As advertised - good little sensor
Reviewed in the United States on 20 December 2013
This sensor has been a workhorse for the electronics industry, and this one is a great price. Please be aware that there are no instructions or pin outs, but there are literally hundreds of sites that have tutorials and code snippets to help you get started. it is really not very complicated. Used this on a project to detect wildlife getting into the garden and scaring them off. It is durable ( bought these before) and small enough to not be noticed. Range is nice on it too.

    Sicuramente consigliato!

The product arrives well protected, packed one by one in an antistatic bag and shipped in a cardboard box. There is no need for a lot of explanation for this sensor, which is easy to use and has a lot of support on the net. It lends itself to many applications, especially in the field of home automation. It often happens in fact to have to control the passage of a person or a pet, and a PIR sensor is probably the easiest and cheapest way to implement it. Having 5 available allows you to cover more rooms and / or more angles.
    Definitely recommended!
