The boots themselves - wow! these are serious boots! I can only give first impressions of course, hence the 4 stars, 'cos they only came today but first impressions are very good! I've had them on for the last hour or so and don't want to take them off. The insole is Thinsulate which is comfy and warm without making the foot over-heat, and the rest of the boot (i.e. the leg and foot) is fur-lined, very cosy.
The laces are very long and thick, which is great because it enables you to pull them in to perfect the fit. There's an extra lace too, near the top, which enables you to pull in the top of the boot to prevent rain/snow going inside.
The boots are described as waterproof, they feel very sturdy and have the most incredible rugged, 'non-slip' soles that feel thick and 'the business'. I'll be wearing them outside tomorrow, walking on the thick ice that still covers our pavements and residential roads so I'll let you know how the boots hold up compared to wellies. (My wellies have non-slip soles too, but wellies are cold and to be honest they are not all that non-slip on the ice).
I agree with previous reviewers regarding sizing - get a size bigger to your normal. My 'normal' is 5 or 5.5, so I got the 6 and it feels just right for length. Also, width - I have wide feet and usually buy E fitting shoes: the size 6 boots feel okay in the width for me but I don't think I'd want to wear socks - mind you, with all the fur-lining would you want to wear socks? If your feet are wider than mine they may feel a bit squeezed.Read more ›
The dark brown fur is soft and warm a nice cosy feature. The insulated layer in the boots mean they are very warm inside, and keep your feet warm and dry. They have a good grip sole. which gives you an good grip in the snow. They also give good support when walking, I only had one pair of normal cotton socks on. In my other boots I have to wear two maybe even three pairs of socks depending on how cold it was outside.
They are very stylish and classy boots, you could see many of the films stars wearing these boots in the very posh ski resorts. About town will do me just fine. I have had may compliments on these boots when I have had them on. And I would certainly buy another pair in another colour without hesitating.
Would highly recommend Five *****

I found these a bit stiff for me, I ended up giving them away. Bad choice on my part. Better for young person, i'm in 60's and need something softer to wear. Good product though.Published 7 months ago by digger
Warm, fits well but the grip is not great. Not confident with going out in the snow.Published 8 months ago by KD
These boots were a little stiff at first but after a few outings they are now easier to get on and off.
Warm, comfortable and fit true to size, very pleased with them.
I bought these to replace my previous hitec snowboots. Exactly as expected. Waterproof too which is handy.Published 9 months ago by Sarah Paterson
