I'm also satisfied with the quartz movement. I looked at the automatic, but it was a bigger watch and a few more hundred dollars. The quarts may not of the "wow" factor of the automatic, but it keeps better time. In the few months I've had this watch I've had no comments from others about it so there would be no discussion about the "coolness" of the automatic. I would buy the quartz movement again.
Arrived in pristine condition, as one would expect of a new watch. Delivery was amazingly speedy. Amazon.com has learned its lessons well on how to operate a web-based shopping site.
I sent the watch to Tag Heuer for repair and after their analysis they came back with a quote for $200 for the repair,stating that since I purchased with Amazon I didn't have any warranty. Had I purchased from an "authorized dealer" I would have had 2 years warranty.
The lesson learned and my advise:
1 - Be wary when purchasing at Amazon. Why would buying from them void a warranty?
2 - TAG Heuer: A watch that lasts less than a year and costs thousands
