Aaaand she’s back. She being the wonderful Jill Shalvis and not that she was ever really gone. But whilst I really liked Book #10 in the Lucky Harbor series, I didn’t LOVE it. Well, I definitely LOVED Book #11.

“H-hang on to m-me,” she said, and …dunked him again.
For the love of God. “Stop trying to save me,” he told her. “I’m begging you.”
Her hair was in her face, and behind the strands plastered to her skin, her eyes widened. “Oh my God. You’re trying to commit suicide.”
“What? No.” The situation was ridiculous, and he was frustrated and effing cold, but damn it was hard not to be charmed by the fact that she was trying to save him, even as she was going down for the count herself. “I’m trying to keep you from killing me.”

From the opening scene of He’s So Fine when Olivia jumps into the water to ‘save’ Cole followed swiftly by the ‘let’s get naked to warm up, friends walk in, Cole/Olivia left trying to explain that this isn’t what it looked like’ scene, I was in love with this book. So much of the dialogue between Cole/Olivia made me grin.

As individual characters, they were easy to like. Olivia is a former child star with an infamous past and a money-grabbing mother. With family like that, you could completely understand why Olivia pretended they were dead and why she wanted to get away from her old life.

Cole is suffering from mild PTSD due to an explosion on the rig he worked on and losing his best friend. I wholeheartedly love Cole. Whilst he may be rigid (“Am I … rigid?” “I don’t know man,” Tanner said, “But I’m really hoping not.”) I can totally understand why he is that way and whilst he may see things in black and white he has a great heart and is always willing to help people.

He's So Fine, the 11th book in the Lucky Harbor series, was well worth the wait. I was given this book as an ARC, for a honest review and I loved every second of it. Jill Shalvis you have an amazing talent at telling stories, you are one of my pre-order 1-clicks.
This book is about Cole and Olivia, two Lucky Harbor residents. Cole is a partner in a boat charter business with two of his friends -Sam and Tanner after leaving the rigs after the death of one of their best friends Gill. Cole is now rigid in his beliefs and does not like lies of any kind, due to certain events that happened in his past and now he suffers with trust issues. Cole suffers from flashbacks from the accident that claimed his friends life with an igniting flame and this is how he ends up falling in the ocean and Olivia coming to his rescue!! by landing on his head while trying to save him.

Olivia has not been a Lucky Harbor resident long but loves the friendly little seaside town and all the people there. Olivia is trying to escape her past as she was a child Hollywood star till she hit puberty and could not play her part any more in a hit show so that is when her life fell apart, when the people she grew up with left her and she became known as a wild child, so when she came to Luck Harbor she came with a new identity that she could start a fresh from the scandal.

This story tells their budding romance, the ups and downs and I would recommend it as a 'Must Read'.

I can't lie. I'm a big fan of Jill Shalvis especially the Lucky Harbor series. There's only one more book after this which makes me sad. If you're new to the series go back to the beginning and start with Maddie's story in Simply Irresistible.

He's So Fine is the story of Cole and Olivia. It's warm, funny and sexy. I always laugh out loud at these books and this one was no different. If you want a feel good book with great characters and plenty of hot bits then I reckon this is the book for you.

As always Jill doesn't disappoint. Love, a little intrigue, humour and lots of lovely spicey hot love scenes. I wait patiently for release day then I read voraciously till it's finished. Her detail in describing the characters and the scenes is just fabulous and I find myself wanting desperately to visit Lucky Harbour for real. Thanks so much. Cannot wait for Tanners story. Already pre-ordered.

Would recommend anyone to read the lucky harbor series where the men and women are hot if a little mixed up and love finds a way in the end.
