This, right here, was the book I was waiting for. I've said all along I wanted more Erik and Daisy and Suanne Laqueur really didn't disappoint me with this final instalment.

If a book could be described as tragically beautiful, it's this series. The bad times have been described with such clarity, yet at the same time handled so beautifully and essential to the story.

I loved how vulnerable Daisy was in certain parts and so strong in others, she really grew as a character for me and it was easy to see why Erik fell in love with her.

Erik was simply perfect, there's no other way to describe him. He almost seems real, if that's even possible. I'm used to my fictional men being larger than life, but Erik has every emotion and thought on display and for me this is a unique trait for a male character, having been subjected to so many fictional Alpha males over the years. However, don't mistake this for Erik being weak and any less hot.

Now I don't think I've mentioned Will and Lucky before, but being so closely linked to Erik and Daisy, I cannot review this book without giving them a mention. All four of these characters compliment each other so perfectly. Their camaraderie is at times hilarious, especially Erik and Will. Dare I even say Will is a strong contender, along with Erik, for the hottest male award?

I loved every character in this book, there were a lot we haven't met before, but once again, they all seemed to leap from the pages and I loved how my imagination could picture everything so perfectly as though I was right there along with them.

I just don't know where to begin with this final installment of The Fish Tales. Not in a bad way, no, no, an AMAZING, I can't stop ugly crying here, leave me alone kind of way. You do not know how much I have been waiting for this last book after absolutely destroying myself over the first two.

The conclusion of Erik & Daisy's story. Just. Wow. Suanne's method & skill of writing is just incredible. Every single book of this series I have cried; through the tragedy, the (slight) humour, the happiness. Truck load of Kleenex needed here!

I was really hoping these guys got their happy ending, and they may well do (you will have to read to find out of course) but all along their journey they face the toughest of trials, tougher than anyone can imagine even after all they have been through already.

I love that we got to find out about Erik's family history too, even though it's the first time we have come across it, it tied in so well even right until the end and I was so intrigued, like it was an episode of "Who Do You Think You Are?" or something.

I also love that Will & Lucky are in it again all the way through, I adore these two as well, and their kids, and Daisy's parents, and Erik's family, and, and... Well, just everything! I honestly do not have one bad thing to say about this book. If there is one series I recommend you to read this year, this is it!

You can probably tell I am one of Suanne's biggest fans so I'm going to leave you with one thing -

You so much.

This is the sequel to The Man I Love, a gripping tale of love, friendship, tragedy and hope that struck a cord with me in 2015 when I had the privilege to read and review it. Shortly after I was given Give Me Your Answer True, the story of The Man I Love as told from another character and it only reignited my love for these characters.

Before Christmas I was given Here to Stay and my excitement level was unmeasurable (just ask my husband!). I knew what I was in for and eagerly awaited the on slew of emotions ahead of me. I missed Erik, Daisy, Will and Lucy as if they were my own long lost friends. I was desperate to find out what happened to Erik and Daisy, to see if they could overcome their pasts and stay together. If the tragedy that torn them apart so many years ago would continue to haunt them. Here to Stay takes us on another adventure, to discover the missing parts of Erik’s past and we learn so much more about him. It was a pleasure to watch this man grow, and become the realistic hero of any girl’s dreams. Daisy was my favorite character in the entire series; I loved her wild ambition, cleverness and even her darkness. Here to Stay only showed me that she was indeed, as imperfect as the rest of us.

Suanne is the master of awakening the deepest level of sentiment you could ever hope to feel while reading a book. She has grown into an exceptional writer with a talent to draw you into a world so passionate and scary, it’s as if you yourself where a character in her story.

I cried, and cried and cried. I laughed just as much and smiled even more. I never wanted this story to end, though I found myself praying that every character received their happy ending. I so badly wish to spoil this story for you!!! But I won’t.
