Neither acknowledges the instant flash of attraction in their previous "off limits" accidental encounter .
Their enforced road trip together to Mexico is fun; Payton (except when corralled by her mother) is a bit of a wild card and what do you know.? ....Cruz is a man who can say sorry!
The dialogue is believable, there's some social observation along the way that feeds in - all in all this is a great read.
Despite being rich and having never wanted for material things, Payton is surprisingly down-to-earth. The way she handles the various disasters that lead to her roadtrip with Cruz is proof of her good cheer and I loved everything she did on the journey – the phone, the music, her driving. She’s good fun and I couldn’t help liking her, especially after how things turned out with her fiancé.
Cruz is a little less of an instant hit, because he’s gruff and responsible and a workaholic who has a very firm opinion of Payton and isn’t willing to change it. Until close quarters forces him to, of course. But it’s cute to see him falling under Payton’s spell and how the pair of them make a surprisingly sweet team. He also has a brilliant family, full of hugs and loud voices and love – which is quite the contrast to Payton’s mother.
The story romps along with surprising events, flirty challenges and of course the wedding-that-must-be-reached. It’s all good fun and easy to read, but I have to admit there are aspects of the ending that felt rushed and others that felt unfinished – not least everything to do with Brad and his father. However, overall this is an enjoyable escape that makes the most of heat and tequila and family interference. I look forward to seeing what this series has to offer next – and on catching up on the first one in the meantime.

Payton was amazing and is going to see her BFF Kate married to Dominic, the brother of Cruz who is travelling with her.
Although i did not find an initial connection between them, you certainly do once their trip continues via car.
Its a light read, clean and sweet and effortless to read. I found myself turning page after page without realising how much i had read.
Certainly a good read and I would recommend it.
