I have twin boys, and 2 Syma 107 helicopters for Christmas 2011. The helicopter is easy to fly, but early flying practice results in a few crashes and a few breakages. The black plastic part at the top of the Main Inner Shaft seems to be a weak point on these helicopters (couples to the upper blades). This repair kit gives you the bit you need for easy replacement of this component + replacement parts for other components too (I've also replaced 1 blade, a tail and 2 chevron shaped pieces in front of the tail). Good kit, gives you the bits you need and cheaper than buying individual replacement components. Also includes some replacement buckles which I've seen for a quid each in places. After a bit of practice the boys are getting quite good at flying. The helicopters would have probably ended up in the bin without this kit of replacement parts. You'll need a 0 or an 00 Philips screwdriver. Go for a Wera 00.

Well, it's difficult to rate a product you've never used but here goes. The casing was cracked when it arrived so I returned it straight away. It appeared that this had occurred due to the way it had been packaged for delivery - in a cardboard envelope usually used for dvd's/cd's! Anyway, that aside, it seemed to be of decent quality and the set was comprehensive enough to have replaced any parts damaged on the helicopter

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend who was pleased with the product. The battery needs recharging after approximately 10 minutes but this was specified before purchased and it does a good job at a good price so overall very pleased. Nice little gift and although I purchased spare parts, they are yet to be used which is a bonus. Met expectations.

Overall the look of this is great it matches the original article however, the tail piece replacement does not fit as well as it should and this in turn effects the take off of the helicopter. Therefore a little disappointed with it. Also bought this item in yellow as my husband also has one of these. The items in this packet were fine. So mixed feelings really.

for the parts that you need to repair the helicopter they are cheap and very good quality and no problem with the fitting although because of the size very fiddly but only to be expected for a toy of this size

bought this at the same time as the helicopter, i have not had to use it yes as the helicopter is so durable, although i do love that you can buy a complete body kit so if you fancy changing the colour of your helicopter you can.

I bought this for my 11 year old for Christmas. He loves it. It is quite a delicate toy and needs good control to master it, but for a technically minded boy, its a great present. Needs recharging regularly.

The Syma S107 helicopter is quite difficult to control initially, and crashes often until you get used to the controls. But it's tougher than it looks, and mine hasn't broken yet. But this kit gives you the confidence of knowing that should you crash at speed, and a part gets broken, you have the ability to repair it quickly. It should be relatively easy to replace the parts on the helicopter, since everything is connected together with small cross-head screws - but you will need a very small screwdriver - either the Philips #0 or #00 size will do, though the #00 feels to be a better fit. (See the LIndy computer Technician precision screwdriver set - (LINDY Computer Technician Precision Screwdriver for suitable screwdrivers.
