Brighten up your brunch with this baked bean Shakshuka. This popular Middle Eastern dish features a rich spicy tomato sauce with our protein packed Heinz Beanz and runny eggs.

1. Pour the oil into a large frying pan and add the onion and garlic. Fry until they just begin to soften, then add the sliced pepper and paprika. Cook for a further 5 minutes.

2. Pour in the tinned tomatoes and the baked beans, mix and leave to simmer over a medium heat for 10 minutes while stirring occasionally.

3. Make four small wells in the sauce. Break an egg into a cup and drop carefully into each well. Cook over a gentle heat for a few more minutes until the whites are just set and the yolks are still runny. Sprinkle over parsley and chilli flakes.

The beans were baked. They were tinned and I bought said beans.
Amazon delivered the beans for a good price. Later on, I ate one tin warm, a second cold and a third warmed with a pinch of Chinese Five Spice in them (try it).
Each tin was perfection. Or as close to perfection as a tin of beans could be.
They delivered on looks, price, taste and flatulence too, saving me money on central heating at night.
Good beans. Try them.

Product as described and arrived before due delivery date but looked like it had gone a couple of rounds with Mike Tyson. Dentid cans plastic wrapping all torn not really holding cans together as it should. The box it arrived in was in good order so leads me to believe the tins were like this when posted??????? I have had this item before without issue, not sure what happened this time. Probably won't buy again.

Something went wrong in packing

The pack of cans arrived today, the Amazon box as expected. When I opened it to stack the cans in my can cupboard I noticed that five of the cans inside were extremely dented (and the sixth, not pictured, was slightly dented). When I pressed on the dents four of them responded as I'd expect, deforming slightly while the fifth pushed easily and spopped back, as if it wasn't a sealed can. When I opened the one I suspected was unsealed there was a nest of tiny bubbles inside (see photo) and trying two or three of the beans they tasted odd and I wasn't going to take any chances eating it.

Dented tins with broken seals everytime!

Every time I have ordered these the tins are badly crushed or dented often so badly the seals have lost their integrity. If these are cheaper because they are dented/damaged tins it should be made clear in the description so that people are aware that they are buying an inferior product and can decide for themselves if saving a few pence is worth the risk of botulism or food poisoning. I never eat products from dented damaged tins due to the botulism risk so will not be buying tinned goods from Amazon again. Also one or two usable tins at this price works out excessively more expensive so these are very poor value for money. Amazon knows this is an issue which is why these are not eligible for return or refund!

I still prefer Heinz beans, but only just now. So many of the supermarket own brands are much cheaper and not much different in flavour. Whilst Heinz just has the edge, as they reduce salt and sugar across their range, I’m finding the need to add a pinch of salt now to get the best flavour.

I agree with what they are doing with the reduction of salt and sugar for our children’s health, and as an adult I can add more salt as needed.

I do however hate the amount of plastic these packs are wrapped in. I know some manufacturers are switching to only single tin sales to get rid of some plastic, more needs to be done and quicker.

I don't know what it is, but, there is something about Heinz baked beans that just makes them taste better than others.

Always delicious, whether on toast, with a fry up, or added to a casserole or stew.

These are the full 'fat' variety, although they're still far from bad for you.

Sugar is a reasonable 4.7%, with only salt being a little high (Salt is Amber on the traffic light system) at 0.6%.

A simple way to get a nutritious snack at any time if the day.

Here is a pack of 6 tins. 6 times the tomatoey joy.

Ordered 6x6 tons. Heinz beans always good. Amazon packed these 3 heavy units together with another 4 products into a flimsy 1 layer carton. All 18 cans are dented or squashed. Sending back in my case is to complicated. So I will today have to vacuum pack the content of 9 tins since the seal of the tins has possibly been compromised. It does not take much to get botulus bacteria into damaged tins! 5 star for beans, 1 star for packaging. Not amused!
