First read by this author. I realise I have started on book 2 in the series...The book is full of hot, steamy, erotic sex. For the first half of the book I wasn't that keen on Cole. He had an abrupt way of talking to Christy that I found a bit off putting but once I got to read about his childhood and why he doesn't like to get close to women i started to soften towards him and once he falls for Christy and his walls come tumbling down, I fell a little in love with him myself!
Christy has an overeating disorder. Although it is over 5 years since she was overweight, she is very insecure about her body and eats food that has no sugar in it. Bascially, I'm not sure what she actually eats as she says no to just about every type of food. She tells Cole early on about her overeating disorder and he is sympathetic. He tries his best to reassure her how beautiful she is to him and how sexy he finds her body but her insecurity goes on a bit too long in my opinion and there is far too much about her eating disorder. I started to skip these parts as they were becoming repetitive and I'm not sure we needed to be told over and over about how much she used to eat and why. We're told she was 200lbs (14 stone) at her heaviest. The way she talks, it makes it sounds like she used to be 26 stone or something! I'm not making light of an overeating disorder, but it seemed a bit OTT to me.
That said, I did like Christy's character and the humour in the book. I laughed at Cole's first pet name for Christy and a part of her anatomy!
Cole's mother abandoned him and his brothers when he was young. He now has a fear of women leavng and so doesn't let himself get close to women.

Christy is fairly new in town. Having dumped her fiancé, and escaped her controlling and melodramatic mother. Christy is a software engineer, and is reorganising the towns library. Whilst having a girls night with her friends, and a little the worse for drink. Christy lobs her engagement ring over her garden wall. Vowing that in future she is going to hire a man when she needs one. Suddenly one of the hottest men in town, walks in the garden to return the ring, which had landed on his head. Cole Bowen one of the three sexy Bowen brothers had noticed Christy around town and in the library. Having overheard her conversation he intends to put a proposition to Christy, the next day.

When Cole suggest to Christy that he is prepared to offer her sex with no strings attached, but in return she must fake date him for the next month. The towns 200th anniversary was coming up. And Cole wanted to avoid all the women who would pester him for dates.when Christy realises he's serious she starts to think that she isn't going to find a better looking guy or such a sexy one, why not go for it.

This is the second story in this series, and it is so much better than the first. The writing is wonderful. It's full of humour passion and emotion. It's also very sensual. I liked Christy she was a woman with issues regarding food and her weight. (That might have been overdone a bit). Cole well what can I say about him, his is domineering to the max. When he says get undressed you had better hop to it. My goodness he is pure alpha and then some. I loved the added angst of the drooling women who thought that they were serious competition against Christy for Cole.
This is a definite five star read for me, loved it. The author certainly knows how to write her love scenes, they are way beyond hot.
I hope we don't have to wait too long for Max's story, he's the youngest of the Bowen brothers.

Being a bigger girl myself I completely empathise with this female character and the struggles she has gone through to finally get her weight where she wants it. To then find a man who appreciates all she has gone through and loves her body exactly the way it is and how he showed her he loves it was mindblowing. i am enjoying this author's work and have read some of her books before and will contine to look for some more.

Brilliantly written and seals perfectly with more than meets the ink. Cole is such a great character and I loved how he built Christy's confidence. Hope there is another book about the other brother max on the horizon

Christy suffers from terrible body issues. She leaves her fiancé and moves across country to a small town to live around some friends. Trained in IT she accepts a job at a library, entering data and organising books.

Ex-military Cole is pretty bloody crude, bossy and rough. He and his brothers are sort after bachelors in the small town. One of his brothers got married and now all the women are chasing after the last two before they get snatched up.

Cole noticed Christy as soon as she came to town, since then he has been obsessed with sleeping with her. Only problem is she is still suffering heartbreak; he doesn't like women with strings attached and doesn't sleep with women more than once. Unfortunately for him, he has to work along side her in the library; while she organises the books, he is renovating it.

But one day, whilst drunk with her friends, Christy vows off relationships and tells them that she wants to hire a stud to show her a good time and throws her engagement ring in the air and it lands on Cole who sees it as a sign that she is ready to move on.

All in all, it was a good steamy romance, nothing more, nothing less. I enjoyed it.
